* Plot Informaton for Scelt

Scelt is a Territory in turmoil and peace is tenuously held together by the Sceltic Queens. Rivalry between the Clans errupted into horror for the Territory that resulted in many dead, on both sides, and culimated in Clan Sheane being outlawed in the Territory. Further troubles plague the Territory in a variety of manners - Landen villages are raided, Courts are attacked, and no one seems to be safe.

Sceltic Whisky

Whisky making is an ancient art practiced by many of the Sceltic people but is particularly strong in two areas of the Territory: Portraine in Tramore and Glencoe in Kilvary. While other areas in the Territory make their own unique blends of whisky the best single malt whisky comes from Portraine or Glencoe.

The success of these regions is specifically due to the superior water quality available.

Sceltic Whisky is a malt or grain whisky made in Scelt; even if a distillery in another Territory were to use the same process and recipe they would never properly classify as a Sceltic whisky. Traditionally the whisky is made only from malted barley but in more recent years (and through more experimental distilleries) it's become acceptable to alternatively use rye and wheat.

There are 2 distinct types of Sceltic Whisky: Single Malt Sceltic whisky and Blended malt Sceltic whisky.

Single Malt Sceltic whisky is a blend made within a single distillery. Blended Malt Sceltic whisky is a blended whisky that takes anywhere from 50 - 200 different varieties of single malt whisky to create a unique blend of flavors.

A whisky must be aged in oak barrels for at least 10 years to be considered a Sceltic whisky.

The distilling process is done very similarly to the creation of beer but the end result is boiled off in a cooper still to take the purest alcohol from the malted water. It is then placed into Oak barrels that have previously held another alcohol (Dhemlanese sherry or Little Terreillien young whiskey are commonly used) and aged for ten or more years.
