An exercise of power
« on: Aug 12, 19, 06:37:30 PM »
He received agreement and understanding from the head of the sayyadina. That the idea he came up with in response to the Sabbah was proper and would be supported by the Sayyadina. So Aahad sat down at his desk and began to write. Afterwords he dispatched the letters across Pruul.
To all the Clans and tribes.

These past months has been brutal to us all. The pain of the sandworm attack is still with us. However we must never lose sight of ourselves, who we are as those of the desert and it is to this that I write you today.

During a time of peace, a wedding was had. Celebration was underway when the faction, known then as the True Sabbah, violated one of our most holy of customs and shed blood during this time of peace. Their revolution swift, exacted with bloody vengeance. I need not tell you that these times of peace are precious for without them our society would crumble.

With this violation in our minds it stands to reason that the Sabbah regime cannot be trusted to respect custom, law or protocol. To violate a peace shows a level of disrespect and ill intent that cant be put to word. As the Sabbah have revealed their lack of trust, we of Arnadeth Temple cannot in good conscience welcome then. We cannot in faith trust them with access to water for all. We cannot tolerate them for the threat they would present us when coming to take from the Oasis.

As High Priest of Arnadeth, of the Sayyadina, I inflict the Water Ban on all of Clan Sabbah and its Tribes. Our oasis is closed to you, those who have violated a sacred trust and shall not be granted the chance to breach another. You and yours shall be turned from the people's water, so that the sacred water may be kept safe. Let all know and reflect on these words.
