Personality

Personality:

Izil is a man who has seen and experienced too much. While his slave story is not as vile as many others, his is a story of the loss of identity. Izil was a slave, passed around and forced to be something through oppressive will. One through force, another through velvet-like influence. He has now found his freedom and doesn't know what to do with it. They robbed him not so much of a choice of life, but himself. He is searching for the missing pieces.

A few things however stand out about him. The first is his shrewd business tactics. Learned from one of his masters, he understands that the realm of business follows the law of nature: only the strongest survive. One does not make it as Blood by being soft, taking the hit for the team or ignorantly agreeing to less so others can maximize off of you. No. It is the opposite. There is only so much room in business and Izil is determined to have his share of the space. By any means necessary. The second is his intellect. He is not book-smart but extremely intuitive. Able to work out problems, processes and calculations in his head.

Izil is a pious man. He truly believes that Mother Night told him to take what was his when she gave him the Sapphire. His faith keeps him as much on the straight and narrow as it can and kept him afloat all those years, continuing so today. Since claiming his freedom however he is a touch lost on just what exactly is "his" to take. Power? Fame? Money? Freedom? Or perhaps it is the thing his masters stole from him, "identity".  He does search for himself however and in his off-time attempts to discover who he is through exploring possible hobbies, food, drink and self-reflection which helps reinforce his faith. His investments and profession give him ample opportunity for exploration.

That having been said, Izil has trouble reconciling the ownership of slaves with his beliefs. Apart from the selling of his father's slave caravan Izil has had little interaction with slavery until he purchased the Salt Mines. While his plans for the Mines is more a half-way house to freedom than the Pruulian method of near-starving them to death, it leaves a bitter taste on his tongue. He resolves himself by thinking that if he dirties his hands to dig them out of perdition, especially those who work under him directly, others' hands may stay clean and that the slaves will have opportunities others would never give. He realizes that in a perverted way, it's very much like Jabri; loyalty through love. It toes a line and it keeps him up sometimes thinking about it.

Faith:

Izil believes that Mother Night, through the Dragons, chose humanity to wear the Jewels because of Will; the spunk that makes people inventive, creative, progressive and both beautiful yet terrifying at the same time. The Dragons were beasts, predator kings who ruled all they surveyed through might and power. The Blood however rule all they survey through will and power. Dragons could topple mountains with their power but Blood can topple empires with nothing more than a pen, a couple of minutes alone and a glass of wine. With will, one can do anything. Humanity is just as divine as the Dragons in their own right, the Blood their champions. After all it is the human Blood who conjured such things as prestige and social order and willed it to reality; so much so they are willing to die for it.

The Blood, beings of will and power, have a price to pay. They are caretakers and shepherds. Among themselves they may fight, kill, and besiege as is their nature. Only the best may lead, guide and care for those without power. To those not of the Blood they must be ever mindful and aid them. To not do so revokes one's claim as Blood. To rob anyone, Blood or no, of their Will is blasphemy for Will is the dominion of the divine and not for anyone save Mother Night to touch.

Likes:
  • Mother Night: Izil is a devout man of faith. He has read countless books regarding Priestess's dialogues on the Darkness, Mother Night, Protocol and Blood Law. He remains up-to-date on discoveries publicized by Sanctuaries to add to his ever-desiring awareness of Mother Night's will.
  • Traveling: When you're a slave you're bound to restricted locations. Blood slaves even more so. The ability to do what you want is out of the question and since Izil became free, being able to see the World whenever he wants is a luxury he considers a true treasure. He enjoys immersing himself in other cultures and norms. The world is far too big to simply stay in Pruul (or Raej) forever.
  • Fashion: One trick of being a businessman is looking the part. Appearing to have power goes a very long way and come to find out, Izil enjoys fashion. Power suits, evening coats, jewelry and accessories included.

    Dislikes:
  • Weakness: Izil doesn't tolerate weakness. Mother Night made predators out of the Blood, not swine. One cannot defend what is theirs by having a bleeding heart or soft skin. Mother Night's world is a dangerous place and one must have the strength to survive in it. It is the price paid to be Blood. What Izil defines as 'weakness' has changed from one person to the next. Having a bleeding heart but the strength to act upon it for the better is just fine with him. A flippant tantrum from being mocked annoys him.
  • Fish: Izil is allergic to fish. Which is fine for him because he also hates the taste of fish, allergy or no. It is one source of meat that Izil just cannot stomach and eating too much would both cause him to lose his lunch, his pallor and his body all at the same time. Ironically enough he enjoys fishing.
  • Brands: The notion of branding slaves sickens him. A slave is not a thing to be mutilated but a person at the edge of Oblivion be it their own making or Mother Night's will. Slaves should be cultivated, taught and perfected rather than brutalized so that should the day come they are released they do not find their way back.

    Fears:
  • The Darkness: If Izil loves Mother Night, he is utterly terrified of the Darkness. While many consider them to be one and the same Izil doesn't. The Darkness is Nothing, Absence and Disquiet all at once. To believe the Darkness is the be-all-end-all is to accept that ultimately everything, including life, is meaningless.
  • Raejans: Izil is cautious around Raejans. Raejan slave owners never forget the face of a freed-slave. They only consider you free until you don't have the power left to remain so. Then they come for you in the night, like they do so many others. He always maintains a strong facade in the presence of Raejans out of fear of showing anything but.
  • Small Spaces: Gained from his childhood, Izil has a phobic response to small spaces. He likes having leg-room and the bigger the space the better. While he is not a Warlord Prince, confining him in such confines instantly rises him to the Killing Edge, destroying said space and anyone confining him in an effort to escape.

    Craft Strengths:
  • Mental Shields – Izil's faith regarding Will makes him ravenously protective of his own. His mental shields are almost always complimented with webs that backlash against possible intruders. A common web is one that stuns the intruder, both to make it obvious who is the heretic trying to subvert his Will and give him enough time to...deal...with the heretic personally.
  • Contracts - Most of Izil's freed-life has centered almost explicitly on the use, understanding and exploitation of contracts. They have saved his skin during his journey of vengeance, salvaging a life of immediate luxury from none and taking from those who cross him. He understands their nuance and utilizes that in sealing them with Craft. A common web of Contract craft he does is compelling the breaker to sign over his business to him when he violates the terms of the Contract.

    Craft Weaknesses:
  • Combat Craft: Izil was taught combat craft later in life than most, making Combat Craft more 'mechanical' than intuitive. Do this: X happens. Context is lost and since he has no contextual understanding will probably never be able to adapt and form personal variations like others could. Additionally, Izil's emotions tend to bleed into his combat spells.
  • Mental Intrusion: The act of breaking into the mind of another is anathema to Izil. A believer of Will, the blatant act of violating a sacred space is disgusting to him.

    Life Story

    Family:
Mother: Lashti ~ White to Yellow ~ Witch (Age 46, 146 AP)
Father: Amiz Jofari ~ Yellow to Rose ~ Prince (Age 63, 129 AP)
    Siblings: Unknown

    History:

Amiz Jofari was a slave runner in Raej. Izil's mother was a Pruulian woman collared for his pleasure. Amiz desired a son and had one. Simple as that.

Amiz was a wealthy, middle-tier slave runner in the Raejan markets with his gang of bag-n-taggers stretched into every territory Raej bordered. While he was born to a luxurious life he only saw it through the eyes of a babe. His father was not wise in how he handled his money. After spiraling into a hazardous debt, at age 4 Izil was sold in payment to a slave caravan to recoup his losses. With Izil’s age, the slave caravan pitched him to the Raejan slave markets where he was subjected to a bidding war before finally being sold to Shahna and Rhujan Al-haman, a Priestess and business owner/racketeer of several silkshops.

Servitude to the House of Al-Haman

They bought Izil to be the manservant of their son Hamud, a Warlord Prince who wore the Rose and was four years older than Izil. They believed that having a younger slave for a young Hamud would increase the chance of them bonding and through that bond ensure Izil's loyalty to Hamud beyond being a simple slave. This didn't happen due to Hamud's foul temper and feeling of natural superiority over Izil. He saw Izil as nothing more than someone he could take his aggression out on and was only made worse by the fact they gave Hamud his domitor’s ring. When Izil was 8 Shahna and Rhujan decided that Hamud should be allowed to decide to allow Izil to perform the Birthright Ceremony. As was Hamud's nature, he denied it and swore never to do so.

Izil suffered a fit of depression and melancholy at the denial that was cured roughly a year later. Deep in the night something jolted Izil awake. He slept in Hamud’s second closet which Hamud would close, lock and bind with Craft to ensure that Izil couldn’t leave. Hamud always said it was 'practice' as Hamud, now 12, was deep into his Craft lessons but Izil knew better. With no Jewel of his own he was powerless against even the most haphazard of security spells. This night however upon waking he found the closet door open. He felt an urge to leave the closet, then go down the window and wait in the bushes. Then to slip over the privacy wall and into the back alley behind the house.

Subtle impulses of the like led him to a Sanctuary where, without ever having been to one, entered and made his way to a meditation room without being seen by anyone. A whisper, more like a feeling came to him and asked him to pray. Pray, and he would be protected. Several hours later he opened his eyes to find a Purple Dusk on the altar. The first thing Izil ever owned for himself, he snatched it and held it close as he fled the Sanctuary making it back home with the rise of the sun. Fearing Hamud or the adults would take his Purple Dusk he buried it in Shahna’s poor excuse of a garden in the backyard. There it would remain for many years and just as he knew how to get his Birthright Jewel, he knew that it would be safe in the earth.

Bewildered by the whole event, he at one point asked Shahna about Sanctuaries and why they were there. That is when he was introduced to Mother Night, the Darkness, and the budding of his faith. Mother Night had protected him. Protected him and guided him to the shelter of the Sanctuary when no one else would. When he asked Shahna if he could attend Sanctuary services, she deferred him to Hamud who both denied him and ridiculed him. “Mother Night doesn’t care about slaves.” He said.

At Age 10 Izil was invited to begin attending Craft lessons at Hamud’s behest as he desired a servant who could do something useful. Izil learned Basic Craft but without his Purple Dusk (which was still buried) and attempted in secret to practice Craft with his Purple Dusk in hand. He was extremely crude with Jeweled Craft due to second-hand self-training with sparse time to train. When Izil was 12 Hamud decided he was worthless. He demanded Izil be sent back to the slave markets and a woman brought to him instead. Before they took him away, Izil managed to get his Purple Dusk and secretly carried it back to the slave pens where slave masters fastened it to a plain and crude brass ring on his right hand.

Servant of the House of Savan

Izil was bought several months later by a caravan merchant, Jabri Savan. He was a Broken (Green) to Blood Opal Prince in his 50s. Much like the Al-Haman’s, Jabri desired a manservant. More importantly he desired loyal, unpaid hands. To that end Jabri took to Izil personally. He taught him to read and write, do sums and formalized his Craft training along with brushing him up on his protocol. He even gave Izil varying books on Mother Night, the Darkness, Blood Law and Protocol to satiate his curiosity of the faith. Izil was given a bed and his own room to sleep in. With a formalized education Izil was shown to be proficient in subtle Craft which Jabri liked; he dealt a lot in contracts and negotiations. The subtler arts, persuasion and the like, suited his interests well for what Jabri would set Izil to do.

At age 14 with enough tutoring and education to perform his duties, Jabri put him to work as his scribe and bookkeeper between lessons. Izil attended his meetings, kept notes and balanced the numbers. He would reference necessary information of note during his negotiations and learn Jabri’s business tactics. Velvet ruthlessness. Like a predator dangling fruit for the prey to enjoy only to realize too late the fruit was poison and the predator would feast on it later. Jabri was a cunning and callous deal-maker. Many would ask for his sympathy in inability to pay his fees only to have him give a counter-offer that, months later, would find most of those who agreed as slaves due to the unexpected price hikes and fine print of his contracts. Jabri’s lovers, to which there many, often had Izil in their bedchamber while Jabri was away. Discovery was meant with punishment as it wasn't his place to please Jabri's lovers, only tend his books and numbers.

He also made friends with Jabri's other slaves. Many of which were older, either former concubines who he delegated to maids or other maintenance tasks or older men capable of maintaining the heavy hauls of his merchandise. Izil’s youth enamored most of them, giving them a brief sense of light in the monotonous labor Jabri put them through. Several of the slaves taught him a variety of things to pass the time like game-playing, fishing should they stop near a watering hole or sharing stories. They also brought Izil in on a last-ditch effort plan to achieve their freedom but required Izil's descent to do it as Izil's birthright was the darkest jewel among them. If his descent was dark enough, they might be able to achieve their freedom.

At age 18 he was allowed to perform his Offering to the Darkness. He was escorted to the Sanctuary with a guard regimen just in case. He entered the meditation chamber and began to pray for a way out of his life. To be himself, safe, and be prosperous in Mother Night's world so that when he returned to the Darkness he would have no regrets. He recited the prayer for several hours. The same whisper that touched him years ago touched him again. Take What Is Yours, she said. He opened his eyes to see a Sapphire resting upon the altar. He smiled and was escorted back to Jabri's manse. A week later the slaves enacted their plan.

Izil was the most trusted among Jabri's slaves, and so he ran to the guards protecting Jabri's bedchamber when the slaves 'started rioting'. He warned the guards that the guards needed help to quell the slaves and the guards left to tend to it. Izil slipped inside Jabri's bedroom and slit his throat while he was asleep with a knife the slave-cook gave him. He also cut off the finger with the Ring of Domination as he was told to. With Jabri dead, he then raced to the slaves who were going against the guards. Using his Sapphire he erected Sapphire shields around the slaves (only a few, as his Craft wasn't refined enough to cover all of them). The fight was a bloody one with only a few slaves, including Izil, surviving. The ring of domination was then used to release them obtaining their freedom.

    Take What is Yours…?

With no real place for the survivors to go they decided they were going to take Jabri's business for themselves. As Izil had the most experience among them, Izil was selected to run the business. They were of course caught afterward. Goons of Jabri came in to find their bodies burning in a pyre in his receiving room as Izil and the other slaves drank of his wine store. Izil, seizing the opportunity told them that they worked for him now and reported to him and in exchange he would increase their profit share in Jabri's merchant business. Eager to get more money and believing they could outsmart the former slave they agreed. The slaves kept Izil safe but did little else. Izil practically took over Jabri's business. The money began rolling in and underlings slowly changed loyalty to Izil who gave them better wages and higher shares than Jabri did. Once Izil and the slaves were secure, Izil began to plan his own vengeance, to take what is his.

The day came, at Age 21, to retrieve what was rightfully his. He descended upon the Al-Haman household alone. He Ringed and Collared Rhujan and Shana respectively and took them as his personal slaves. Shahna contested it, shouting to anyone who would listen that Izil was a runaway slave and this was nothing more than revenge. Izil did not counter with an argument, instead he countered with money which quelled any inquiry. With Shahna and Rhujan legal slaves in the eyes of Raej, he then gained ownership of their properties and, in the case of Rhujan, businesses as well as their slaves. He summarily freed the slaves who, much like him, knew the ins and outs of Rhujan’s business ventures. Some remained to work as freemen, others went their own way. He kept his word, he never sought Hamud for slavery. Discovering that Hamud owned one of his father’s silk shops, he visited him, fired him, killed him and then replaced him. Keeping Hamud’s death from Shahna and Rhujan, he consolidated their assets until finally at age 25, he sold them in the slave markets.

Then came the last notch on his journey. His last pilgrimage took him back to his ancestral home. Amiz Jofari, his father, didn’t even know who he was when Izil arrived. Amiz of course had another son and a daughter by this time. Learning that his siblings were unconnected to Amiz’s slave caravan, he enacted a ‘hostile takeover’ by killing him and took control of the caravan through force of arms. He summarily disbanded the caravan, selling off the remaining slaves and renovating the estate to be a business center for his silk enterprise. The profits accrued from the slaves were used to invest in local businesses and aid his former slavemates-turned-friends who were in need of investment to kick-start their own lives.  Since he had seen so many of his old friends back in the slave cells, almost seemingly comfortable in their subjugation in the markets, he was determined not to let the others who managed to survive down. Even if it meant subjugating others to do it. Besides…they would just show back up in the markets anyway.

    Business is Good

Left with no righteous vengeance to pursue and nothing more that was ‘his’ to take, Izil decided to focus more on the gains of his journey. He settled into Raej and continued his work as an entrepreneur, financing and jump-starting businesses. Hiring financiers to help make judgement calls on investment decisions and recoupment opportunities. While his wealth did not emerge overnight, the benefits of his decision were immediate. As the months passed with each investment more and more marks would flood back to him allowing him to turn around and do it again.

Still the words of Mother Night began to haunt him. Take what is yours….what did she mean? If she meant vengeance, against the father who saw him as money, a family who saw him as a doll for a child and another who believed sugar over the wounds would make it all better then there was little left to take. So why did he feel that her task was unfulfilled? Did he not do enough? Did he approach each event in the wrong direction? Should he have done more to them? Less even? Doubt entered his thoughts in a way that would never truly leave.

By age 30 Izil decided to go international. He began to invest in foreign businesses and markets, creating business networks in Pruul and Dena Nehele. Reasonable profit-share compared to others made many eager to do business with him. Like Jabri, attempted undercuts were met with contract-supported reprisal up to and including complete ownership of said business. Luckily for his partners it only occurred a few times. When it did, he often took on someone native to the region to operate the business with Izil taking a larger share of the profits.

His inter-realm forays brought him to the attention of the Salt Mines of Pruul. Word reached him that several other businessmen, many in Raej and few outside heard that the Mines were being considered for privatized leasing in an effort to recapitalize on the mines but logically wished to shirk the buck of it's reputation onto someone else. Like many, Izil was skeptical of the venture. The Salt Mines were no doubt lucrative, perhaps one of the more lucrative mining industries in Terreille. However the Salt Mines had realm-wide notoriety, required tremendous manpower to optimize which inevitably require large-scale slave labor (since it was free, it was all profits); the same labor that made the Mines so infamous. Considering the recent revolts and emancipation of the Mineborn, the situation surrounding the Mines to some was too risky and too volatile to invest and organize. Izil however saw a golden opportunity. Put slaves into the mines, but nurture their will and capability to lower slave recidivism.

He spent several months going over plans with confidants that would both serve Izil's interests, make profits while also dealing with the slave problem. The plan Izil formalized entailed buying land in Pruul for urbanization and the construction of slave communes in the vicinity of the mines. Said communes would house slaves that would work in the mines by rotation, meanwhile offering trade skill opportunities: Apprenticeships, gain goods for trading and have the communes garner self-sustaining markets. Izil would take his share while the slaves would learn, and thus be able to, afford life outside of slavery and have the knowledge necessary to not fall back into it. Repayment plans were finalized for slaves. Izil would front the operation costs of the commune, gaining majority stake in all profits. Benefiary would gain a secondary majority and the Territory Court would gain a tertiary stake in exchange for access to Water Priestesses.

Upon approval Izil needed bodies. He had men go to the Raejan slave markets and the Pruulian caravans and purchase slaves based on skillset, needing skilled hands to work in the commune. When none were available, he hired masters to teach. Once the infrastructure of the commune was complete, he began to fill the mines. He emptied slave markets and put them into the commune, allocating their appropriate shifts in the mines as well as ensuring housing and 'growth opportunity'. He then began delegating management of the communes to lower-level oversight with plans for self-operation, installing slaves as Circle members to operate the commune.

Currently the mines operate at, total thirty-one percent optimization and beginning to make profits both from the Mines but also the goods that come from the commune. Morale in the communes are higher than expected and the slaves operating the mines are fed and watered regularly. Breakouts and attempted escapes, while uncommon, are treated with hefty discipline. Izil however refuses to resort to torture, treating them more as law-breakers than mares needing to be broken. Repeated attempted escapes results in being sold back to the markets and caravans. He expects the first freedom payments to occur in the next two years.

Meanwhile on the social front, Izil is a reviled man. His presence and operation of the mines, no matter how clandestine it may seem is too fresh a reminder of the sins the Mines put on the populace but his operation has begun to put money back into Pruul. That fact alone makes him an important figure in Pruul and were the Mines being the cause not enough to make one's stomach turn at that fact, Izil is also a Raejan foreigner. While he does not hide his heritage as a former slave, he does not openly advertise it and answers honestly when the obvious question comes "you don't know what it's like for them.". He does. Oh he does.

Even still....he feels he has not done enough. Mother Night's orders must be obeyed but what more is there to take? He took vengeance. He took will. He took power. Now he takes the righteous path down dark roads. Where is the path Mother Night leading him go to? Will he find what he is looking for at the end of the road. With Mother Night banish the Darkness and reveal the Truth to him? He does not know but he has faith. It's the only thing he ever really had.

    Character in Play:

"To be honest. I never liked this part." Said Izil, rolling up the sleeves of his button-up. He stood outside a restaurant in Dena Nehele, one of the many places that looked to him for money to maintain and boost their business. All he ever asked was a slice of the profits and his demands were small in comparison to others. It was what made doing business with him so much more enticing than anyone else. He believed in accrual by quantity rather than quality. Diversity also. Never put your eggs in one basket...save this basket failed to meet it's obligations. Once the terms of the delay of payment agreement were broken and signaled to him via Craft he collected a few of his hitters to come and seize his investment back. By force if necessary. "Oh well. Gentlemen. Please." He gestured, and the men entered before him.

It was around closing time because Izil hates making a fuss in public, especially when it's about the books. People get crazy ideas like 'let it go' or 'be charitable' or 'give them time'. He knew better. There was no charity in this world as much as he liked to believe there was. There were the strong and able and the meek. The meek need help, but everything has a price as Mother Night wills it. Nothing is free. Not even help for the meek.

They entered to empty tables, a teenager cleaning up an elaborate bar with a cloth with the sound of some clatter in the back, he assumed the kitchens. "Good evening, lady." He said to the women at the counter, sensing the smell of the witch. "I am looking for Robert Guille. Or his wife. I am told he is here on the premises and I desperately need to speak to him."

The teenager, eyeing the men and Izil gulped and shouted in the back and soon a portly man came through a swinging door from the back. He was short, probably half a foot shorter than Izil. He had curly brown hair that clung to his head with a beard that tried desperately to be full but looked haggard as a result. When he saw Izil the man's eyes widened and quickly gestured to the barista to leave. She did.

"Hello Robert." Izil greeted with a smile, eyeing the establishment. "I see and hear business is a touch lackluster as of late." He strolled through the tables, like a snake, in approach to Robert. He picked up a container of salt on the pass and began to idly play with it in his hand. "I am painfully sorry to see it. I hate it when people with a keen skill can't make a break BUT, we do have an agreement. You owe me my claim. I would like it now, please."

"Prince...please." Robert begged. "I-I don't have the money. W-we just haven't been busy enough to make enough. We need that money to pay the employees and maintain-"

"Then downsize and start culling parts of your establishment, Robert." Izil countered. "We already agreed to a deferred payment and that deferment is now due. I hate to be the enemy of all this but business is business. If you don't have my money, then the only option left is to seize what assets you have to make up the difference. Gentlemen. The kitchens, please."

The men strolled past Robert who began to panic. Meanwhile Izil leaned on an edge of a table, continuing to toy with the salt shaker. "Please! I-If you gut my kitchen I won't be able to-"

"I know." Izil said, gently putting the salt shaker on the table. "You will lose the capacity to maintain demand. Alas. I warned you, Robert. My investments are important to me. I am happy when my clients are happy and that means they make business. Dead investments are a waste of time and resources both for me...and you. You will simply have to deal."

Robert eyed the kitchen, then looked back to Izil and moved toward him. "M...my daughter."

Izil arched an eyebrow. "Little Tabitha? What about her?"

"Y-you can have her. No muss, no fuss just...just leave my restaurant alone. She's almost of age, she-she-she-she'd be g-g-good, a g-g-g-good fetch on the-"

"Please don't tell me your wanting to give me your daughter as payment." Izil asked, his voice still maintaining the polite posture of a roguish businessman. "Do not get me wrong, Tabitha is growing into a fine young woman but come now. Surely there are other things you are more willing to part ways with than your own daughter."

"J-Just take her please! This is all I have! This is all we have!" Robert, in tears, continued to beg.

Izil clenched and unclenched his jaw, then slid off the table. "Fine." He brushed his hands away of excess salt. "Your daughter in exchange for the deferred payment promised." He sent a message to his aids on a psychic thread to find Tabitha and bring her to him as he looked back to Robert. "I do hope Cindy will find it in your heart to forgive you Robert, selling her only daughter to the slave markets for this festive hive." He leaned in close and said to him. "If you fail to provide me what is mine again...I will not ask, nor will I negotiate. Your cock will be ringed so deep your great-grandchildren will feel the burn. Do you understand?"

Moments later Izil left the restaurant, adjusting his shirt and pants as the men brought Tabitha to him, a petite teen close to her Offering. Easy on the eyes but had the hands of a worker, someone used to hard work. He sensed the Hearth Witch on her. "Tabitha." He smiled. "Don't worry. You will not go to the slave pens. Your father may have his priorities wrong, but I do not."

She looked at him oddly and he simply smiled to her. "Tabitha...would you be interested in a job opportunity?"

Several months passed. The restaurant never recovered the profitability it had before. Robert, eager to satisfy Izil's growingly intense demands for his claim sold practically everything he had making his wife and him live in the restaurant. The profits never came, so Izil returned, ringed Robert and sold him on the markets. Within the month, the restaurant re-opened with new management and a new strategy. With Tabitha at the helm and the tactics she gained working with Izil in finding new clients, he began to see profitability for his investment again.

As for Robert, well...Mother Night has a twisted sense of humor. Last he heard Robert was sold to a Hayllian chap who needed a cook.

Added to the queue. As this is a wanted ad for Kenna, however, she'll need to post her approval before this C's review will begin.

Approved by me from a Want Ad stand point, but I would also request Gavin approve this as well, since the Salt Mines are under his control as the leader of the Sabbah <3
