Kasidhe was getting irritated and nothing good ever came from that kind of mood settling over her. While, in theory, one would think it would be easy to have the Black Widows of Little Terreille come under the Hourglass Coven once it had leadership again, that was far from the case. Some of them were downright hostile about it.

It was one particular group, no more than five, was rapidly reaching the point where she was about to stop being nice. Yet she was loathe to push given that they had taken up residence in one o the more affluent areas. If she struck, it could reflect poorly on the Coven and herself. Not that she particularly cared if it reflected back upon her but the Coven? That she cared about and the group had threatened hard if she did not back off.

As if that would actually get her to back off. No, it just meant she was going to reach out to a different resource that she had available to her. Kasidhe had settled comfortably with being tied to the Territory Court (for all that it was not common knowledge, save for those Jon and her had agreed to) even if, ultimately, that comfort had more to do with reconnecting with previously mentioned Warlord.

Sometimes she was a little transparent.

Sometimes she was a little focused.

Sometimes she was in need of letting it all loose.

When it happened that those three things came together in one package, it meant Kasidhe would pursue it with a single-minded fervor. It was why, in the late afternoon, Jon would find that his office was occupied. Worse, the chair behind his desk was occupied. One could not say that the Sapphire Black Widow was sitting in his chair, not when she was practically lounging across it.

She had draped herself across his chair, knowing that sooner or later Jon would come in and find her. It was not as if she was trying to have some sort of clandestine secret meeting. Kasidhe had made her presence known to the right individuals to ensure that sooner, rather than later, Jon would appear.

Draped as she was, Kasidhe's head hung upside down as she was patiently working with a web. It sparked and glittered, the threads suffused with a Sapphire glow that made her smile. Her knees hung over the other arm of the chair, her heels having been left neatly together in front of Jon's desk, and somehow she still managed to not make the skirt of her white dress ride up. (Spoiler: it was Craft that made that possible.) Kasidhe's feet were stocking covered, up to her thighs, and she kicked them every so often as she continued to work with the web she had in hand. At some point, she knew, Jon would walk in and find her like this.

If she were lucky, he would be annoyed with her because she had - unfortunately for him - decided he was something to be picked apart and learned. Kasidhe had a desire to press every single button, if she could get away with it, and then see if she could proceed to undo it. It was not a particularly healthy thing to do but the Black Widow was absolutely certain that Jon was in need of some serious letting go.

Of control, that is, and she was going to be the one to help him do so.

Jon had been running around doing errands and meetings. He'd found out that his sister had absconded from Midland with Eydis Winters(ton) and that now Marchesa Talbot's strongest supporter was soon to be gone. That meant he had to put his work into overdrive into who he was going to get to replace that seat before Marchesa named her own District Queen. That was going to take some maneuvering in and of itself, so he had gone about the business of charting some ships to Scelt ahead of schedule while Davos and Hayden would plan their own trip. Jon was going to be betting on the idea that they'd get to the Sheane Queen and convince her of the intelligent move of taking her people to Little Terreille instead of staying in Scelt.

Of course, he hadn't told Amerys all of that yet. Nor of Eydis and Reija and really, most of everything that was going on in the Territory. Because Amerys just had to look pretty and instill confidence into the Territory. Jon, himself, would take care of the decision making.

Those things were in mind when he was heading back to his office and one of the guards told him that Lady Sheane was waiting for him. But not Hayden. The other Lady Sheane, and that irritated him. Kasidhe, as far as Jon was considering, was heading comfortably to his pocket. Their night together had been enjoyable and entertaining, it had served his purpose to fuck her, but as he walked into his office he was not happy to see her in his seat.

The annoyance was lessened, just a touch by seeing those legs of hers, stocking clad. But only a little.

"Guess I have to get new guards." Jon said with some chill as he closed the door behind. He started walking up slowly toward his desk, his eyes narrowed just a touch.

"That's my chair." He said succinctly. It was a good thing he wasn't a Warlord Prince, because if he was he would have already hauled her up out of the seat and tossed her ass across the room. For now he didn't continue the conversation or ask her what she wanted until she followed the pre-explained condition of getting up and out of his seat.

Kasidhe visibly perked even as Jon clearly was not happy with her place in his chair. Between the chill in the air and the look he gave her, she was more than aware of the edge she was walking along. It would not take much to fall over it, that much she knew, but she also knew how to walk such lines.

How to push and pull and get exactly what everyone wanted. It just required that she was listened to and not immediately dethroned from the chair.

She stretched, slowly and languriously with a purposeful display of her body, and smiled at Jon. It was not a smile that was full of sunshine but instead full of impish delight. (Especially because of the way his eyes lingered upon her legs and the stockings that she wore. The instinct to wear them had been right.) "Those poor guards didn't know what to do with me," said Kasidhe, even if the glint in her eyes said that she truly did not feel for the guards. "It is your chair," she added a breath later, settling into it once more, "and I find it very comfortable."

Yet as soon as he was truly close enough she only lingered long enough to stretch again. As much as she enjoyed that heated gaze upon her it was not the right one. Kasidhe stepped towards Jon, fingers reaching for the jacket he wore over his shirt and smoothing along it.

"However it's not mine but yours," said Kasidhe, tugging lightly to get him to sit down, "as I prefer a different way of sitting." It was just another ploy because the moment that the cool abated, that Jon would actually take his seat, her hands would leave him so that he could settle into it. Kasidhe walked to get a drink, a deliberate sway in her step, and poured two fingers of liquor into a glass.

She was carrying it back over a heartbeat later, setting the glass down upon the desk and promptly draping herself across Jon's lap. "This is so much better," she said, plucking up the drink and passing it to him. It enabled her to free up her arm so that she could lay it across his shoulders, fingers running through the hair at the nape of his neck. Her knees were once more resting on the armrest, stocking clad feet hanging over the side of the chair all over again.

Just this time with Jon in the chair.

"Time to get new guards then." Jon said matter-of-factly, no lightness in his tone. He did not appreciate the way Kasidhe thought this was all great and fun, having either whammied or charmed his men to get into his personal space. There wasn't anything sensitive here, Jon wasn't naive enough to keep critical documentation anywhere but his psychic cabinet. But the fact of the matter was that Kasidhe was still largely an unknown. He had known her when she was a kid, but as a woman and the Head of the Hourglass, she was a variable he had to consider and someone to both be wary of and be careful for. Fucking her had been a strategic (if enjoyable) choice. But it hadn't meant that she now had free reign over his things.

She moved him around and that pissed him off too. Black Widows were sensual and dangerous beings. He'd worked with enough and fucked enough to know that. Kasidhe was dipping into the former more than the latter, but she could get scary soon enough if scorned or pushed the wrong way. Those thoughts were rolling in his head as she sat him down to temper his anger. It's not a big deal. Be cautious. Be smart. Let this play out and see where it's going.

But then Kasidhe helped herself to his bar. She was swaying her hips like she wanted some, and as appealing as that might be on an instinctual level, he wasn't some horny teenager.

Kasidhe settled herself in his lap and she might feel the tension in him. Not fear, a sign of restraint as she then put her legs over one side of his seat and started playing with his hair.

Jon released the glass, letting his Purple Dusk save it from dropping to the floor. He didn't accept a drink from a Black Widow that had time to prep in his office. That was just stupid. He floated it over to his desk and set it down then turned to Kasidhe with a cool, focused gaze.

"Maybe this routine works with your boyfriends, but it doesn't work here." He reached up to grab her arm, not entirely kindly, and drew it away from him. It wasn't an effort to hurt her, but the force behind it clearly showed he was mad. "You don't come into my office without permission again." He then lowered her hand into her own possession, and nudged his knees into her ass to give her the indication he wanted her to get up. It was kinder than throwing her across the fucking desk.

"Take a seat." He nodded to one of the chairs across from him. "Then you can tell me what it is you want."

Boundaries were things that were meant to be tested and learned, especially when it came to someone like Jonothan Harmaa. When interests were piqued, when there was such potential, Kasidhe would push and push until there was push back. So she learned, and he was smart - as expected - to not drink. Not that she had done anything to the drink, there was no need and she was not stupid. The tension was obvious, but she held the playfulness all the same.

Even when he spoke, even when everything in him was barely controlled anger. It was a good thing, at least, and she inclined her head. "Of course, Jon, I will do just that," voice placating as she stretched, just long enough to make moving more on her own terms, and then shifted to stand, "but calling this a routine is unfair." No, Kasidhe did not behave this way with those boys that thought they could handle her. That was all domination, never letting them have anything from her.

This ...

This was something different. Something to learn, something to help grow. This was play for Kasidhe as much as it was business as well. For her all the best things were. There was an extra bounce in her step, a pleased glint in her eyes. Others might have quelled at the barely restrained temper shown in Jon but she delighted in it. That beast of his, so close and yet so far away ...

Kasidhe paused at the other side of Jon's desk, feet slipping back into her shoes, before she finally sat down in the chair. She crossed her legs and smoothed her fingers along her skirt. Her head tilted, eyes cutting to the glass and then back to him. "I would promise to you I did nothing to it but ..." Kasidhe's lips twitched, the look upon her face saying she doubted it would mean much. Even an offer to drink it herself meant little, considering everything that a Black Widow was capable of. "Instead, I will simply remind you that you have my loyalty, Jon. I may be troublesome at times but not in that fashion. I much prefer you alive and very much yourself." That said, she moved onward to at least part of what brought her here.

"I came to speak to you of a matter of the Coven; a group of Black Widows that have been misbehaving," said Kasidhe after she leaned back comfortably into the chair. "While normally I would simply act, do something about it, I wanted to speak with you about it first. If you have the time to spare during today's schedule?" As she had just shown up. His schedule could very well be busy. Never mind she was purposely giving him the opportunity to tell her to leave. What reason that was, however, remained unclear.

"Special occasion, is it?" Jon said in response to her complaint about his comment. His voice had a sharpness to it that showed he wasn't amused by her sudden arrival and insertion into his schedule. But he didn't chase her up or shove her onto the floor as she moved to take up the seat opposite him as he instructed.

"I'm sure you didn't." He rebuffed her assurance as he gestured to the glass. "I just don't ever accept anything given to me. Old habit from home." And that went for more than just food and drink. The fact she'd taken off her shoes and made herself cozy in his office irritated him again.

Instead of lingering on how pissed off he was, he summoned a cigarette and lit it with a whiff of Purple Dusk, placed it to his lips and took a slow drag as he leaned back in his seat.

As Kasidhe made her pitch as to why she was there, another Black Widow's voice pinged inside his mind.

"Hey, we should talk. You got a minute?" Kelda's voice entered his head without a knock or an introduction, she cut right to the heart of what she wanted, and Jon wondered just what it might be about.

Jon looked down at the cigarette in hand as if trying to reign in his temper at Kasidhe. The truth was he was focusing on Kelda while he smoked. Her voice, why she'd be reaching out to him.

"In a meeting. Is it important or can I catch you later?" He'd address one Black Widow at a time. The one in front of him was younger than the Court Seer he'd brought into his world (and a number of secrets), and not quite as trusted, but she was an asset to use and mold still. Especially if he wanted things to go smoothly for the next few years.

A pause. It felt like a heavy one. "Sure." Which in Kelda-speak could mean it was fine, or mean she was going to rip into him later.

"Great. I'll get with you tonight. Just let Shelley (Jon's secretary) know where."

There was no answer. Jon exhaled smoke, and figured it was more leaning toward the latter, and that it was going to be a long day.

"You're here now." He said aloud and made a slight wave of his hand. "But in the future.." Jon lifted his head up and looked directly at her. "If you are here for a work-related topic, you make an appointment. If you want a play session, you tell me. Without invading my office. And if I find you in here without my permission again, you'll soon find yourself without support in this Court at all.

Are we clear?"

He waited for her affirmation. Anything less and the conversation was over.

"Alright." He leaned back in his seat and took another drag. "Let's hear it."

The amount of effort it would take to pull something over on Jon, something like poisoning his drink, was well beyond what Kasidhe would want to deal with. That and she quite liked him alive and himself, some kind of husk of himself - something that had been compelled or otherwise ensnared - held no interest whatsoever.

"The current company inspires a certain bounce in my step, let us leave it at that for now." An easy way to put it, though she simply nodded about old habits. It was not a bad one, the look on her face said as much. Kasidhe, on the other hand, had webs over her body - an unseen layer of lattice work - that ensure she was protected. Other people had other methods, like Jon's old habits. Ingrained things to ensure bad shit did not happen.

Her head tilted a moment as she spoke, keen eyes watching Jon as he summoned a cigarette and lit it up. Were she an insecure thing, she might've thought his focus elsewhere. Cooling his temper at her? Possibly. No, not worth pursuing at this moment. Another time, perhaps. Especially as Jon laid things out.

Clearly.

"Perfectly reasonable and acceptable," replied Kasidhe. "Though fair warning that work and play often follow one another. So perhaps an allowance for longer appointments, hm? If that is an allowance that can be made." Take that as one will, as the Black Widow knew herself quite well. Sometimes work was play and play was work, though apparently that seemed to be a thing that cropped up with the Warlord before her. Her fingers twitched, eyes studying him again. The need was there in her to pick him apart and study how he ticked, push the buttons and see what happened, but ...

Work.

She sighed, though whatever Jon thought that to be about, Kasidhe cared not. "While normally I would handle this quite eagerly," as Rin and Kasidhe could handle just about anything together, "this particular crew has buried themselves in deep in one of the more affluent areas. I had thought it simply rebellious Black Widows, ones that have not come around to my ways, I have since learned otherwise. They've gathered up a rather sizeable group, picked up the remnants of some of the disbanded gangs, and are trying to make a name for themselves.

"Considering the area involved, the size of their group, I thought I might come discuss it with you before simply having at it." Kasidhe's smile was pleasant enough but there was a dangerous glint to her eyes. The one that spoke of death for those that did not come around to her way of thinking when it came to the Black Widows of Little Terreille. "They're not at the stage yet that they can be anything more than a nuisance but any time a group of Black Widows come together without proper guidance ..." Another smile. "There is nothing good that comes from that, especially if they've started up business as they had with their gang-minded minions."

Kassi declaring that if she came calling she was going to take up more of his time than just a meeting sounded comabative to him, though Jon figured that was just what he got for fucking with a Black Widow. They tended to be testy on a good day, and him laying down the law when she was obviously interested probably wasn't well received. But he wasn't a floor mat or a Red Moon House worker, and he had shit to do.

So there'd just have to be some hurt feelings and prickled senses.

"Perhaps." He said, lifting an eyebrow at her almost in provocation. "It'll depend on what's going on that day."

Leaning back he placed his hands over his stomach as he considered her problem, his cigarette hung out of the corner of his mouth and bobbed slightly as he spoke. "Gangs in the aristo areas? That's new. Are you saying that your group of rebel Widows have money and some of the Gangs? And they're in one of the richer Burroughs?"

He didn't like the sound of that; it was a power move if he could easily mark it as such. Worse still was that he didn't know what was going on with Kelda's 'project'. He doubted Kasidhe knew about his Seer and her other work, and really it wasn't any of her business. Kasidhe was in charge of the Black Widows of the Territory, but Kelda was the Territory Court Seer, which meant in Jon's eyes she answered only to him (not Amerys).

And 'answer' was really more 'negotiate'. There were some devils you kept close because they were valuable, even if they were dangerous. Jon had made a whole Court of them.

He considered a question, his eyes narrowing through the smoke and he reached up to to draw the cigarette from his mouth and held it aside from him, over his knee.

"Rebels how, exactly? Just that they're not recognizing your authority over the Coven or something else?"

Pressing buttons was what Kasidhe did. At least when it came to someone like Jon. Learning boundaries, what she could get away with and what would never work, was fun. Just like it was fun to see if those boundaries, once defined, could be changed. Yet the meeting was shifting and Kasidhe shed those thoughts for actual business.

It was better that way. Business first, play later.

Not that she was not raising an eyebrow at Jon. Hadn't she just- Perhaps it was best to make it perfectly clear. "If it was simply a matter of not recognizing my authority, I would have already had at them. Between myself and Lady Ariake, we can deal with those that do not recognize that falling back to the Coven is for the best."

She shifted, legs uncrossing and then crossing once more as she leaned forward and rested folded arms upon them. For all that it put things on display, it was also a thoughtful pose that she fell into. The tips of her fingers pressed together in front of her mouth before they fell away and she spoke again. "The problem is, as you just said, a group of Black Widows with money, support, and a foothold in one of the richer Burroughs. They are burrowed themselves in deep, have started some kind of operations within, and act as if they are outside of not only my authority but any authority.

"Left unchecked, it could create a larger problem and there are enough lingering issues left behind after the majority of the gangs were dealt with that it cannot continue." Perhaps if they had been smaller, if they had not grown so large, Kasidhe might not have even noticed. Yet they were on her turf (truthfully, all of Little Terreille was her turf as Head of the Hourglass) and their operations, from drugs to webs to otherwise, could be harmful to the population. There was a reason why moderation was important but that was neither here nor there.

"Lady Ariake?" Jon lifted an eyebrow at the name Kasidhe brought up. A questioning expression took over his mien. "I don't think I know who that is. Is she from Little Terreille? Sounds Tacean or Shaladorian." Jon paused as he went through his mental catalogue, then realization seemed to dawn. "Oh, wait I think I remember now. She's Marchesa's Seer, right?

Huh. I didn't know you two were tight."
He leaned back into his seat, a smirk returning to his face. "So you have Courtland's Court Seer as a backer. Have you collected Portland and Rockland's too? Have you tried talking to Kelda yet? She's pretty good at handling problems." In a permanent way.

Kasidhe was spinning it as a problem for the Court in a way as it was a group gaining strength and defying Kasidhe's authority, and Jon considered that for a beat. "Well, you have a title, but do they have a reason to fall in line with you?

Managing people is a lot more than just saying you're in charge."
He lifted a hand and gestured around his office. "It's about what you can build for them, what you can make happen. You have to appeal to their self-interest.

Nobody likes being told what to do."
He lifted an eyebrow at her. "Save for specific circumstances." He let that drift between them for a moment before he continued. "So you either have to make them afraid of you or make them want to support you. The former is good for a short term, the latter for something that you wanna make last. Certain people you need to just eliminate, others you manipulate.

If they have resources and are entrenched, it sounds like you're better off making them an ally instead of an enemy. Making a deal with someone can get you a lot more than making an enemy. See what they want and see what you can do for them, and what you can get out of them. You have access to doors they don't. Use that to your advantage."

Jon didn't really see Kasidhe as a peer, more of a protege in a sense that he could mold to fit his own expectation for the Territory. His lens was something of the long term, rather than the short, and while fucking her was a good time if he wanted to keep her around he had to make sure she could stand on her own two feet, while also not being a threat to him.

Not that he felt she was, but people got ambitious if they got too much too fast, especially a Black Widow.

Leaning forward some, he slid his leg down to set both feet solid on the floor. "Listen. There's a lot of off-the-book things that happen in LT. I don't care how you manage your Coven or the people in it, as long as the Court gets its cut and the Court doesn't have to clean up after you. If you need help to take care of it, that's fine, but the cut gets bigger if we have to expend resources for it.

Do you get what I'm saying here, Kas?"
He lifted an eyebrow at her in question, seeing if she read between the lines that whatever familiarity they had it would always be second to the business of the Court that belonged to him.

Kasidhe nodded to the affirmative. "Marchesa could never sway me enough to actually serve her and ..." There was a shake of her head. "My parents don't speak positively of serving there, when they do speak of it." Which they did not because better that tongues did not wag. No need to continue on further, not when Jon obviously knew who Rin was if he could pin her as Marchesa's Court Seer.

The Black Widow fell silent, sitting up straight and no longer in such a relaxed position. If her new position could be called anything it was nothing. Kasidhe's expression had gone blank and her eyes narrowed upon Jon and - basically - explained something she already was well aware of. "Jon," she said finally, "while I get what you're saying - as it isn't as if some of the things I have done to secure my place as Head of the Hourglass were, as you said, off the books - you misjudge me if you think I have not already tried.

"This little cadre? Whatever they are? Whoever they are? They've already got someone they're loyal to and reject any attempts at alliance. Beside," this was where her gaze went hard and flinty, "if they are not loyal to the Coven, then they are a liability to me and mine. It is as simple as that." Kasidhe had already brought many to her side, had a Second-in-Command that was more than trustworthy and other Black Widows that were loyal to not only her but the Hourglass as well.

"I don't need assistance but I thought you might like the heads up that there is something up within one of the burroughs before I go in and take care of it." She flicked her hand, wrist rolling and an absent gesture made. "As you said: you do not care so long as the Court gets it cut. What happens if it doesn't? If something cuts into it and you cannot make an alliance or make it work for you? What do you do then, Jon? I sincerely doubt you would just leave them be."

Which was exactly Kasidhe's point: that this group was cutting into the Coven's cut, their niche, and it would grow in costs if they were not careful.

A little roll of his shoulders made an approximation of a shrug. "Just giving you managerial advice, Kas. If you feel you've tried everything, you've tried everything. And if you feel there's no other recourse than to get rid of them, then do that.

But again."
Jon leaned forward a bit, his gaze more severe and focused on the young Black Widow before him. "If I have to clean up after you, I expect a bigger say in things going forward -- because it shows you can't handle it yourself. If you make a mess of things, if people die who are bystanders or collateral, you and I are going to have a problem. I don't like collateral damage, Kasidhe. And I like sloppy even less."

An eyebrow lifted, and his mouth twerked to a smile, something more disarming than the cold killer mien he'd given just a few moments ago. "In the professional setting, at least."

Bringing the cigarette back to his lips he took a drag and set it down on the ashtray, exhaling a breath and reaching for the glass she'd brought to him. "If it's me and I can't negotiate or manipulate, I remove the problem by force. If you don't feel you have any other option I'm fine with you doing it. If it were me I'd hit them when they weren't suspecting. Some people you won't ever get to follow the line and you just have to get rid of them.

Don't get yourself killed by being the boss, Kas."
He lifted his glass to her in acknowledgement. "I like having you around. And if you feel it's too much, feel free to come to me for help. I've got people who are real good at getting rid of problems." One particular weapon came to mind for this situation.

He leaned back in his seat and exhaled, now that the business matter was at a close and his position as in charge established, he smiled with his glass in hand. "So, I think we're done with the work part of our meeting. Did you have something else you wanted to show me?"

"If you have to clean up after me, I shouldn't be where I am." A fact, one Kasidhe would hold to. "Beside, last I checked, I don't think anyone in this room likes sloppy." The corner of her mouth twitched, though her gaze remained upon Jon all the same. The line between personality shifts was very, very fine. "Professionally, as you said."

Truthfully Kasidhe had little desire for someone to have to clean up after her. Rin and herself had spent too much building what they had within the Hourglass. To have to rely upon someone else to clean up a mess that was hers to deal with that she had not done so already? That would be something that could never be allowed. Any problems with Black Widows, any problem that fell under the purview of the Hourglass Coven was hers to deal with. There were no safety nets in her world, not behind the webs that stretched across her skin.

Something sparked in her eyes as Jon continued.

"There are a lot of things that I might ask of you Jon, but help in this arena is one that is not very likely." She smiled; it was not pleasant (or perhaps it was for those that enjoyed the deadliness that could come from a Black Widow). "I've no worries about getting myself killed either." Her webs protected her for one and then she had a sword-happy Green-Jeweled Second-in-Command for another. The real question was would she tap out when the time came, if a moment arose that she truly did need help beyond that of her Hourglass. "Rather see you personally handle something than your people do so in any case."

More interesting, truly, but she hummed that the business part of their meeting was over. An eyebrow rose at his question. "Show you?" Was she playing coy? Who knew. "No, as clearly I am taking up precious time out of your busy schedule. After all: my presence here was uninvited, I do not want to overstay my welcome." No, she was capricious and he had ejected her from his lap. That was going to cost him.

Kasidhe's banter wasn't an unwelcome thing. He rather liked that she could think on her feet and throw it back some at him. While the initial find of her being in his office without invitation was annoying, it didn't mean he wanted to write her off or get rid of her - just set some very hard boundaries for her to adhere to. Their relationship wasn't entirely spelled out, but each meeting would define it more and more so that they both understood how it would work.

Which, if one were to ask Jon, he'd say that it went exactly how he wanted.

Jon drowned the liquor she had brought him earlier in a single, smooth drain of the glass. He set it down as he sucked hot breath across his own teeth, then rose to his feet as he left the cigarette burning idly in the ashtray. His fingers slid along the surface of the table's edge, drawing the tips toward her like they were magnetically pulled toward her person. The predator's gait was present in him as his eyes locked toward hers and moved with an almost liquid slowness toward her body that sat beneath him now.

He came to rest by her seat, looking down at her. "It's possible for me to clear some more time for you today." Jon said with the arching of his left eyebrow. "But if you're going to leave, now's the time."

A suggestion, perhaps, but it was more indicative of a warning. Jon had a feeling that Kasidhe would just rise to the challenge and dare him to see what he'd do next.

The problem was that Kasidhe always rose to the challenge. She was still annoyed yet, but she enjoyed pushing the line to where it landed. Discovering the boundaries was something she enjoyed doing too much.

Just as she enjoyed figuring out which ones could be pushed and pushed and pushed until they were somewhere dangerous and thrilling and fun and-

She was annoyed, so very annoyed, but she was caught by her own hubris in this moment. Her expression mirrored his, eyebrow arching just as he did. "And here," she said tartly, "I thought you didn't have any more time for me. You're sending mixed signals, Jon."

Jon radiated predator, watched as one, but she did the same in turn. Pushed back as he challenged, throwing down her own at the same time. There was an unspoken threat in his words, an undercurrent that made her want to put him in place.

Where that place was ...

That was the question, wasn't it? Kasidhe stretched, rolled her shoulders, and lazily regarding him as if she decided that he was not - at this moment - something to be concerned with. It was a deliberate dig, done on purpose, and he would know it. After all, he had given her the cold shoulder - pushed her away! - and it still lingered upon her mind. Kasidhe was capricious, yes, but not when it came to where her fixations rested. Not when it came to something like this, where she wanted to pick it apart and learn it and put it back together again with her own two hands.

Even if Jon was potentially intent upon doing the same and he had more experience at it.

Kasidhe was a special case. She was someone that Jon had enjoyed in bed, certainly, and he would like to keep enjoying her company in bed. But she was also new to the Court, new to him, really, as an adult, and he had to set up certain boundaries with her to make certain she knew who was in charge in Goth:

Him.

But then there was the not-so-smart Jon brain at work here too. The one that at times got wrapped up in ambition, attraction, danger, and getting in bed with all three. Like all Blood he was a predator and he liked sex ("like" being too weak a term, really), but Kasidhe, again, was a special case.

He should have just let her get her passive aggressive comment off and then let her leave. Let her be mad. Let her go unsatisfied.

But Jon's lizard-brain wanted to put her in her place in a way that was not-nice, but lots-of-fun. So rather than let her go he closed the distance. Rather than move to open the door, he moved to grab her chin and her shoulder. Rather than usher her out, he pulled her to stand up next to him, his hand moved to take possession of her hip, and then he pulled her against him.

"Leave. Or you're not leaving until I'm done." He said, then pulled her mouth into a kiss. He'd fight to put his tongue into her mouth and wrap it up with hers. He'd push her toward the edge of the desk, press her back to it, his hands holding firm to hip and chin and cheek, pulling her into his mouth and his need.

A growl came from his throat, rumbled against her mouth and set into his hands on her body. A predator's hunger, and she the meal he intended to sup on.

Kasidhe's posture did not back down, nor demure as Jon stalked towards her. She held his gaze, kept her eyes locked to him, and even snarled when he upped the ante by grabbing her chin and shoulder and bringing her upward.

That voice in her mind, the one that said she needed to not, was quickly being drowned out by the one that wanted to put Jon in his place. She was not some small-time poppet, some easy-piece that he could bend over or easily cow with the rightly placed word and angry expression.

Her hand - left - came up quickly as Jon pulled her to him. Kasidhe's fingers curled in the fabric of his shirt, nails digging in lightly. There was no response from her, no answer to his statement. There was only the battle of their heated kiss. She snapped at him, teeth catching his bottom lip, and did not yield to his tongue. Not until she felt herself backed up against his desk, lips parting in surprise, did he even have a moment of the upper hand and their tongues pushed against one another.

The upper hand was continued with his hands upon her body. It was not as if her dress was all that concealing, Jon's hands finding bare skin far too easily. Kasidhe let out another snarl, pushing back at him with force.

"Maybe this routine works with your other girlfriends but it doesn't work here," she said, a deliberate parrot back of his own words. "You don't get to just push me around and bend me over, Jon." Kasidhe was rounding on him now, hands sliding along his body and plucking pleasure just like he had done to her. "I'm not some fucktoy." Then she was kissing him, just as forceful and hungry as he had been and just as determined to push him around.

He had done it to her, after all, and whatever he could do? She could do better. Except she was aiming for that damn chair, not the desk, and far too aware of the beast underneath Jon’s skin. Kasidhe was playing with fire but she did not care if she got burned.

Jon was a predator, yes, but she wanted that predator unleashed.

Jon didn't move when she pushed him. If anything the Craft she had snake through his skin and his bones made his hands cling harder on shoulder and arm. He held tight enough to bruise that soft skin beneath as they kissed and her fingers danced across his shirt and pulled at the muscle beneath.

"Maybe you are." Jon whispered against her mouth, his bottom lip burning from her teeth, and his breath was as hot as his emotions at the moment. Kasidhe was purposefully pushing at his buttons. Seduction Craft. Roughness. Invading his space. Push push push push push. "But do you give a fuck, as long as you're my fucktoy?"

Jon suddenly spun her around then, the force of a man who could move people with will or physicality - the body of an assassin turned into a ruler, and his hands found possession of her silky dark hair and her throat. He pulled back on the former as he gripped the latter, and his ear pressed near her ear as his groin pushed against her ass, nudging her hips to the edge of the desk.

"Isn't that why you came here?" He whispered heat and fire across her skin, his teeth biting gently on the lobe. The hand in her hair quickly moved aside, the grip not enough as it reached across her and grabbed her right tit, squeezing hard through the soft dress. "To get yours today? To get fucked?"

He rolled his hips against her ass, letting her feel how hard he was getting through his trousers and her dress. His hand gripped her breast tighter, his hand at her throat constricting more of her air, and to up the ante the had on her chest focused instead on her nipple and took it between his rough fingertips - felt barely through the fabric of her clothes - and began to squeeze.

"Say it." He whispered fire into her ear, his Craft now lashing out and wrapping around her in dark, hedonistic tendrils to amplify his touch, forcing the heat and want to bloom within her.

Where Jon's hands squeezed tighter, there was warmth that briefly pulsed and faded away. He pushed back at her, did not give at all, and that made her let out a dark noise that was swallowed up in the force of their kiss. "You," she said in a breathless snarl as she was spun around, "haven't earned that right."

A thrill shot through her at the strength showed, at the speed and dexterity of his actions. Kasidhe trusted far too much in her own talents, in the fact that she knew well when danger was truly coming. Her hand raised up, clutching at his hair and pulling hard and - instead of jerking his head back away from her - she pressed him to her.

Encouraging that bite as her nails dug in, letting her other hand fall to the desk to push against and brace so that she did not slip forward.

"I came here to talk, Jon. Not fuck." Except he was hard against her and she was wet and there was no point in denying that while she had come here to talk as the goal she was not going to turn away a good fuck. She was not going to admit that yet, however. Not with Jon trying to force the issue. Kasidhe let out a gasp, his hand tightening around her throat as she did. She could still breathe but it was restricted, enough so that she barely made a noise when fingers tweaked a nipple between them.

Pleasure erupted in her as molten desire, Kasidhe nearly swept away before another snarl. The favor was returned, her hands on him stoking the fires of his arousal. "You. Haven't. Earned. That," said Kasidhe, each word punctuated with her bucking her body against his. Putting strength into it until eventually she was able to raise a hand to the one at her throat.

Kasidhe pulled it away and, in a display that was more related to her jewels amplifying her strength, spun around in his arms and shoved. Rode on the brief surprise that she knew she had and pushed him straight to the ground only to be on top of him a moment later straddling his hips.

She leaned down, hands clutching at his hair and holding his head in place, and kissed him again. In this fight, if it could be called such, Jon had not gotten her where he wanted her. Not yet.

Just like she had not gotten him where she wanted him. That did not stop her from grinding against him, hips rocking as her teeth sunk into his bottom lip.

You haven't earned that right. Kasidhe's words were a boundary that was putting him in his place. Jon really should have been paying attention to that voice - hers - that was telling him where he could stay in bounds. But his head was going in a darker direction, and the fact she'd thrown him onto the floor of his own office had somewhat pissed him off.

It was calmed a bit by the fact she was on him, grinding into his crotch, kissing him and putting her fingers in his hair, but not by a lot. The snap of teeth on his lip just made him hard, and then there was a whole rush of desire that came from somewhere that demanded a caveman-like show of arousal and force.

So he fought past her arms, using his own Jewels to enhance his strength. Oh, she had the Darker Jewel, but he'd have her really have to press her power to keep his hands in place. They rose to push her up so that she was sitting atop him down, and he was leaning to sit up to follow her. One hand curled into a fist in her hair, yanking her head back and arching her back toward him, the other tugged at her dress to open it up and pull free one breast from its confinement.

"Tell me how I gotta earn it, Kas." He growled up at her, but he didn't wait to pull her breast into his mouth and start sucking on the nipple with a near feverish arousal. Once he was sure her head wasn't going anywhere, he let go of her hair, then drew his hand down to spank her as she straddled his waist. Once, twice, as he fucked on her tit and looked up into her eyes with a cold, cool gaze of frozen lust.

He sucked harder, even as his hand swatted at her ass, then his teeth pinched down upon the bud of flesh until he heard a sound from her. Only then did he draw back and growl as he leaned up to kiss her mouth and claim it for his own use. Even when they wrestled orally, he shifted his body - heavier, broader, to get her to the ground so that he could get atop her and pull her legs around his waist.

"You want me to make you take it?" He growled into her mouth from above her, rolling his hips into her own, grinding his clothed sex against hers, and made sure to angle it so that he'd rub against her arch, assuring he'd at least tease her clit, if not arouse a stronger reaction. "Say it." He hissed as he pulled his mouth off from hers, looking down into her eyes to try and arrest a confession, even as his hand at her jaw moved to wrap around her throat.

It was a battle of wills and somewhere, in the back of her mind, Kasidhe wondered if she had gotten in over her head. That thought was summarily ignored and tossed aside as Jon pushed upward and his hand found her hair. Another snarl escaped, her back arching, as he tugged at her dress. His lips--his mouth--against her breast kept her from moving, even pulled a noise from her that wasn't a snarl but a sharp gasp.

"Don't you know?" she said, breathy as she finally was able to tilt her head down to meet his gaze. Another person might have been concerned at that look in his eyes. There was lust, yes, but it was glacial. Jon was on the edge and that--

That was right where she wanted him.

Kasidhe growled as she felt his hand slap her ass, fingers digging into his shoulders. Her hands didn't pull him away, they only pressed him closer as she arched her body into his. There was still no proper answer from her, not as she was intent on leaving marks on him with the nails of her left hand (the right, where her Snake Tooth resided, stayed firmly planted in his hair). The kiss, the hard nips, and sucks that came from their battle was enough of a focus--enough of another battle for dominance--that Kasidhe didn't expect to be flipped again.

Jon earned the most animalistic snarl yet, Kasidhe about to buck and force the issue again--to not be on her back--when he growled out that question.

And ground his cloth-bound cock against her. There was no stopping the way she arched, legs locking around his waist. Kasidhe didn't snarl this time but her gaze had gone dark and cold, almost feral as Jon's hand slid from her jaw to her throat.

"I've already told you," she said instead. "You want to earn it then you have to let it out." The hand that had been tight in his hair, loosened and slid down to cup his jaw briefly. Her finger tapped once against his cheek before sliding the rest of the way down along his neck to his shoulder and finally coming to the hand at her throat.

She rested her hand over his--it was so much larger than hers--and squeezed. "The dark beast," Kasidhe was breathy, "that hides under your skin.
