Personality

Personality: Privacy is a big deal for Suleiman and is one of those concerns that glides right along any of his possessiveness if he intends to display it. Items that belong to him are his, and he doesn't particularly like his belongings touched by someone that hasn't asked his permission and been granted it. The Warlord Prince treats casual touch in much the same fashion, being taught some manner of graciousness doesn't hide the predator that he is. Warnings tend to be singular and seldom repeated, threaded deeply with the rage that is as much a part of him as his soft, sensual hazel eyes which are slowly and methodically willing to undress anyone that will let him look. Consent is a key portion of how Suleiman thinks, and his temper is likely to snap in cases where people attempt to take advantage of one another either mentally, or through touch, whether or not it happens to be sexual.

Like any man of his caste and darkness of Jewels, Suleiman's possessiveness makes an appearance whether or not he appears to be well in control as best an un-Bonded Warlord Prince can be. It could be his belongings, a favoured coat, a well-beloved person, such as his sisters, or a lover, or a friend. He's just as likely to make a sensual claim as he is platonic, and crossing either of said boundaries isn't at all safe for anyone that hasn't sought the man's permission in some fashion. While Suleiman wouldn't call himself feral exactly, that's honestly the best way to describe his possessiveness. Beastly. It belongs to him, and no one else can have it. Unless they'd enjoy slowly losing a hand for the trouble. With that possessiveness comes a rage that takes deeper focus and concentration for him to control than a man like him with any kind of Queen's Bond.

Trespass once, and maybe the person will receive a warning if he's fond of them, but even sometimes there's a high chance there won't be a warning, and suddenly the man with the flawless brown skin and perfectly groomed black hair is punching a person bloody regardless of the complaints about it all. He's good to dive deep into the wildness that represents the kind of man he is, and has long gotten over any hints of guilt about being such a virile, violent, possessive, mercurial, and angry man as much as he is caring and suddenly capable of incredible care and tenderness in the next moment. Only age and experience have allowed Suleiman any kind of saving grace in his viciousness, that may allow the man to use his words, as his mother was fond of saying, rather than shattering someone's nose.

A lover and a fighter at once, Suleiman is a man that observes before acting, even if it has the look of a predator just before tearing someone apart. He's patient, but only in the sense of a prowling in wait. The warm presence of an honestly confident woman (and in very rare cases, a man) is just one of those innate parts of life designed to give a man like him pause. Joy is something to be participated in as fully as possible, and the sensual is meant to be embraced entirely. He considers himself an honest man nearly at all times unless there is a protective reason not to be. People that tell small lies in repetition for little reason other than to bite the hand that cares for them are ones that he'd have no trouble assisting their return to the Darkness with the pleasure that only a Warlord Prince can take in killing decisively. After all, righteous murder is not a crime, and the right one might just have thankful souls for the moment of delivery.

Born into the world by the grace of long love, Suleiman is something of a quiet romantic. He loves children and is at his most calm and contented with them, and is still capable of soothing a baby with bittersweet ease despite his personal losses. He's experienced the ups and downs of good relationships and bad ones, learned lessons that have taught him that the Blood, while as varied as the stars in the night sky, are all entirely dangerous without failing. After all, even the least seemingly blessed by Mother Night can throw a man against a table with their mind, and hide knives within invisible pockets, while men like him and worse ones, part crowds with a hint of a frown. Suleiman is secure in his masculinity as well as being reasonably dark jewelled with the full knowledge and comfortability that he's not the strongest or darkest by far.

He's perfectly fine being the smooth operator in a room full of ladies as much as he's capable of hanging back and being the wingman - though it might mean his warm hazel-gold eyes dart about while thinking moves ahead to gain his own pleasure for an evening or several days time. The Warlord Prince is the sort that has trained well and even brawled with other men and is just as capable as disengaging from a fight as he is a needed killing. His un-Bonded status might mean that he'll have to take extra time to decompress from the tension and rage of the moment, but he's long learned to take those extra moments as the cost is often too high, and can lead to the death of friends as much as enemies.

Likes:
  • 1 Precision Tailored Clothing: As a Warlord Prince, Suleiman likes to be seen and noticed; he's a vain man and knows he is despite taking care not to allow his vanity to harm others. There's almost nothing so sweet as a good suit because clothing and the look of a man are the beginnings to foreplay, which will often lead to the stripping off of a woman's clothing with her consent. The more correctly tailored any of these garments are is all to the better.

  • 2 Floral Arrangements: Flowers. Is there another more beautiful plant that represents how varied women can be? Some arrive into the world with thorns while others are fragile, and still, other blooms are hardier than one could ever expect, surviving deadly winters and blooming again. He likes to create arrangements of florals, finding the colour patterns and meanings behind them very stimulating due to the typical passionate reception of various blooms. That quite a number are edible is even better, not to mention the capability of making women smile when sent just the right arrangement of gentle, growing blooms.

  • 3 Healers: Unlike his conflicted feelings about Queens, Healers are sweet, tender creations of Mother Night's grace and proof that she is real, in his opinion. He really, really despises the way they have often been treated as commodities to trade in Dena Nehele and mourns the fact that other territories have so many where his people have to scrape to find one. A Healer is the one sort of person that could truly never cause Suleiman to rise to anger, even if he's being ordered about by one.

    Dislikes:
  • 1 Slovenly Habits: While no Prince, Suleiman really still does have a warm appreciation for everything belonging in its place thanks to his paternal grandfather. There's a certain, very deep irritation he feels when anything is otherwise. As a result, really cannot stand people that are wasteful, lazy, and just nasty, as he puts it with a darkly tempered expression to make the point truly home to the one listening.

  • 2 Slavers: Oh, Slavers. The literally rotted spawn of the Realms of Light and Shadow. If there was an arrangement where the idea of a Hell was ruled by some sort of near-godlike creature, he feels certain hope that there is a specific place of deep torture for people like his Hayllian grandfather. There was a time, that he was within arms distance of the man and only respect of the function of laws and the faux pas of the thought kept him from committing grand-patricide and pulling the man's head from his body. Slowly. When hearing of Garen L'Voide's death, Suleiman cracked up laughing and opened a three-hundred-year-old bottle of wine to celebrate. Fuck slavers.

  • 3 Those Aristos: While he very much enjoys being wealthy and understands fully that the privileges he possesses come from those in some degree and manner that have less than he does, Aristocrats that are either clueless or deliberately cruel or unseeing to their help make Suleiman want to slowly twist back their fingers until they scream. Those that are in paid positions as servants are to be respected, not treated like dirt. He won't even tolerate Aristocrats that behave as though their shit smells better because of the luck of being born in the right place. Fuck that noise.

    Fears:
  • 1 The Guilds: Ah, the Guilds of Dena Nehele. In some views, they are the great equalizer, much as there are certain groups among Hayll with greater entrenched power than others. Sullie does not have a knee-knocking terror of the Guilds, but he's very much aware of their reach beyond Aristocrats, beyond Courts. Beyond. The death of his father was one of those moments in his life that was said to be old age but was actually a contract placed upon him to end a business contract that his father refused to release due to stubbornness. His father had never had an illness in his life and was a man committed to good health and care with the body. He was not the kind of man to simply fall to death's hand in his sleep. So, Suleiman is the kind of man that prefers to take care and not cross anyone by way of cheating them financially even in the slightest. There could so easily be a contract waiting behind that kind of life choice that ends all of one's life choices.

  • 2 Disease and Illness: With the witchwave, the people of Dena Nehele are troubled and grieving more than they have been in past times. With already there existing a lack of Healers naturally born as well as trained and the danger many of them face, the amount of poverty amidst the litany of broken Jewels has risen considerably. While in Hayll among the decadence and corruption and receiving the letters from family both asking and demanding his return to Dena Nehele, hearing about the rumours of the devastation that is directly a result of vile slavery which he despises, just how bad things were for some people wasn't really done justice by rumour alone. In the five months that he's served in the Territory Court of Dena Nehele, the vast number of people that petition for help and chances are must wait a considerable amount of time for the allocation of resources, Sullie deeply fears the spread of disease. Dena Nehele had some small number of healers, and the Conservatory is going to help change that, but teaching takes thorough patience and time, which are two things that illness doesn't care about. It just spreads as an equal opportunity, heartless murderer. While it's been decades since he's sired a child, the pain of the loss of an infant to death is something he's never forgotten.

  • 3 Lost Queen: Dena Nehele has a history of violence towards its Queens, even to the point of killing them. While it was not always this way, by the time Suleiman was a young man, the Aristocratic and Guild power play with the currency of the lives of Queens was on the rise. As a result, like many men, he's come to maturity with this fear that either the Queen intended for him was either already dead, or, if alive and within Dena Nehele, she could be killed over the most foolish politics. The idea of gaining such a beautiful connection to have it ripped away is like an unending nightmare, as he knows there's no repair or fix for a Bond lost to death. Having witnessed what a lack of Queens and a gap between generations has done to Dena Nehele, is one of those honest fears that both boils Suleiman's rage and in turns, keeps him sometimes awake at night, rather than peacefully sleeping. Having lost a Queen-daughter just after her birth in tragedy doesn't help lessen the range of his fear.

The worst of it for him that with the fact that the Guilds have 'officially' ended the contracts on Queens, he cannot imagine this will be permanent and forever, as it should be. There's a wrongness in Queen-murder, and wrongness in the people that aren't sickened by it. No, it is not the Queens' Bond that he fears, it is what that kind of loss would do to a man like him, with a near a thousand years left of his potential lifespan. How bitter, how enranged would he become? How many people could he potentially hurt because of the insanity of Queen-murder? The history of his Paternal grandmother's end and how his mother came to be doesn't help his trust level, making his fear just that much more personal because he understands first-hand how gruesome the Blood can be.

    Craft Strengths:
  • 1 Power Bolts: Suleiman loves a fight and they come as natural and right to him as drawing breath, but not being a fan of ruining his clothing made learning refined use of power bolts exceedingly within his interest. Power bolts under his control appear particularly strong and solid, or precision thin particularly for the shattering of shields, which is a skill he's refined heavily over the last several decades.
  • 2 Incite Rage: While Suleiman all but thrives on his own personal rage as if it were the sweetest and oldest wine, inciting rage of others works especially best when he has a bladed weapon in hand. While keen to throw off his enemies by stoking their rage and feeding their flames until they make a tragic misstep, he's learned to precisely enhance the rage of comrades regardless of gender.

    Craft Weaknesses:
  • 1 Telekinetic Craft: While typically disciplined with managing his Jewel strength, when it comes to Telekinetic Craft, Suleiman's Jewels drain at a rather alarming rate to his deep frustration. The completion of just a few movement spells might mean a sudden need to eat, sleep, or be restored by Priestess' craft.
  • 2 Communication Craft: Oddly, while he can receive and respond to threads, Suleiman is completely incapable of initiating any in the same way most Jewelless happen to be.

History: The family line of the Basarab-Muşatin is a mere portion of where Suleiman springs from. While for most people, the family history of being known for both its Priestesses and once, the occasional Queen in the distaff line for Castes and Warlord Princes in the spear is of old business, due to his blended heritage including Hayllian and Raejan, Suleiman was present for some of these events. He can remember being told stories by his father and grandfather of a time where Dena Nehele didn't murder its Queens. For most, the major loss of Queens resonates and is simply a depressing fact of life one simply learns to accept and adapt to. Suleiman's passionate heart mourns it even as at nearly a century of life, he fights to control the expected rage of a rather dark jewelled Warlord Prince.

Princely contract written trading ties to the Cutrov particularly in the wine industry were ones that were arranged with the marriage of his maternal grandparents which lead to very unexpectedly good profits. While his family have connections all over Dena Nehele, like most Aristos, the primary estate where he was born is in Aechia, but there was always excellent summer visits to Tulzbruja every year, where they have other land interests more closely with the Cutrov family.

The emergence of the Warlord Prince's Caste was more than obvious by the time the young boy, called Sullie by his mother at the time, turned 4, and he was the second born of the Warlord Princes to that specific branch of the family; Suleiman's elder brother Traejan being named for their father, while the two boys were only five years apart. Their third brother was born three years after Suleiman and was thankfully a Warlord, and thus, didn't add to the chaos of occasionally having three Warlord Princes of different jewel sets to the household, even though their father wasn't always present as a result of his wife's family taking precedence. The boys' twin sisters who were born when Suleiman was around twelve years old vastly added some calm to the children's presence: all of the boys wanted to make the life for their sisters just a little less difficult, and tended to compete pleasantly in doing so.

While capable of being well behaved, he was just as capable of not being well behaved when noting he did not receive the amount of attention desired or the new toy to play with and then break in the next temper spiral. His Healer mother and Warlord Prince father dealt with these issues largely by making consequences for actions being very logical rather than based around right and wrong, which served as early Protocol introduction. It helped that his elder brother was somewhat lighter jewelled, even if nearly as focused and ferocious as Suleiman.

Behaving wasn't about doing what was good, bad. Nor was it concerning what did or did not please his whims at the moment. He was told to behave because it was about causing fewer difficulties for himself in terms of Protocol as far as it could be explained to a small child or having fewer people pointlessly fear, end up anxious, or emotionally damaged in his presence as a direct or indirect result of his actions and choices. Raihana's sensitivity to people and the history of the Blood despite the danger Queens were still facing at the time combined with her understanding of that abnormality and the differences across various Territories allowed the Healer to raise her children with the proper reverence, even if it was mostly theoretical knowledge no one in the family could yet put in practice. The Birthright Ceremony was an exciting day for Suleiman, though calm for his father who had already experienced several, when paternity was declared until the relatively intense power of an Uncut Opal Jewel was placed in his hands. He ended up being the darkest Jewelled of his siblings, which in the end, didn't honestly matter much to him.

Those first few years after he gained his Birthright Jewel were a balance between sharp mistakes and near terror for his parents, but the finer control that his father had as a much lighter Jewelled Warlord Prince was a particular boon in gaining a hand on some kind of learning curve, even if they very often had trouble existing in the same home. His younger twin sisters' presence was a balm in those chaotic early years between his elder and younger brothers for Suleiman, and as he grew the darker jewelled Warlord Prince really began to notice the way women responded to the efforts of a young man being well dressed and presentable. He began to notice he liked to please women of all types and ages from infants to old ladies, and while that trait eventually resolved itself to an intense, fiery need for sex, the general delight of women of all types, shapes, colours, and attire whether platonic or sensual remained a core portion of Suleiman's personality. To see one smile soothed something deep inside the unbonded male, at least for a little while until the next annoyance or unplanned shift in routines caused a natural, deep-seated rage to simmer and burst to flame.

A relaxing note of the soft, soothing voice of a woman paired with logic and affection tended to be the easiest way to talk the young Warlord Prince down from a growing battle with an expanding presence of rage within him, which he eventually had to accept that he needed a Queen's Bond to soothe. With the practice of killing, kidnapping, or abusing Queens being deeply prevalent in Dena Nehele, learning and more, understanding this fact to the core of himself chafed raw. It made the lands he had learned to enjoy seem quite sour and wrong, and the people despite his differences from them bittersweet and too cruel to accept. Once he turned fifteen, Suleiman shot up some in height and build.

Though he would remain a very slenderly muscled man in terms of strength, once the Warlord Prince finished growing by the time of his twentieth birthday, he stood to a full 5 feet, 7 inches tall, making him a little shorter than average height. With an early addiction to heeled shoes stoked by his adoring mother and sisters in hundreds of colours and styles to match his growing eccentric delight in clothing paired together with the bladed sharp, and sweetened sensual charm of a Warlord Prince on the edge of being truly Dark Jewelled, few people tended to notice, particularly as his smaller, practically elegant dancer's frame had no negative effect on his confidence. Suleiman learned to work his wire-taut body into greater pristine physical shape and burning off the constant rage boiling within him with thrice daily workout routines that drove him until he was on the edge of needing sleep from the physical exertion.

He'd eat every vegetable and lean meat he could find and drink all the water to be found in the house until his mother complained at having three Warlord Princes and a Warlord in the house when his father was present and leaving annoyingly small amounts of prepared food for the ladies to eat. As he was a little of a late bloomer, but not dangerously so, Suleiman didn't experience his first Rut until his nineteenth birthday. Instead of indulging his fixation on a woman, he took off toward the summer and winter vacation cottage his parents owned. While there, Suleiman chopped enough wood to last an entire season without the use of Craft, fixed the entire roof, and painted the walls inside and out with a furious focus that left him drained by the end of the third day of what turned out to be a solo-vacation with himself, a stupidly hard cock, his rage and lots of energy to work. It was afterward that he'd finish further lessons on sensual tutelage for safety as his mother simply wouldn't have him harming a woman if she could avoid it with intellect.

Several decades of research through a variety of parchments had been needed to discover that his grandmother had actually come from a very good family in Raej, and she had been snatched off the street on the way to her Offering Ceremony and sold. Memories of his grandfather's Princely organization skills were at times the only reason Suleiman had the patience to bother with seeking the knowledge. He'd learned with emotional agony that she never was able to attempt to receive at least one Jewel, and this difficulty coloured how her daughter, Raihana 'Aisha was born and chose to live her life, despite being born as a Healer. So much more about his mother's strange fixations made suddenly much more sense than they ever had. Though a rarity in Dena Nehele, Raihana was Raejan and Hayllian and after quite a number of centuries spent as a Courtesan in soul-sucking Hayll and earning her freedom, she finally finished her Healer Caste training.

To this day Suleiman is perhaps overly cautious with ensuring he's received consent to touch someone despite the considerable predatory desire, regardless of their gender due to the circumstances of his mother's conception and birth. They lived a very quiet existence due to the odd relationship between the short and long-lived territories, however, following the gain of his Sapphire Offering, Craft tutelage, and an insistence on drilling women's and men's sensual needs by his mother as a result of how she was born and sadness of it, Suleiman gracefully stumbled upon something of a skill in attending to the Virgin Night process. It made sense to him to hyperfocus and spend seventy years refining said skill as a way to deal with the near-constant thoughts of sex common to his Caste, and a very intense regulation and attention paid to his Ruts, which rose up with writhing tangle of vicious passion edged and threaded through with rage on average once a season for him.

As Suleiman has aged, his Ruts have grown to be something he both anticipates with the eagerness of a man offering forth the most beautiful, deadly, and unfettered part of himself. Not only is it deeply intimate, but his respect and compassion tend to dictate where he fixates more than simply the focused attention of his overly randy libido. Furthermore, having learned to be somewhat accustomed to the very much less rigid (an understatement and perhaps a pun) Hayllian view of sexuality on its positive sides rather than corrupt, in limited circumstances outside of a Rut, he is capable of sharing and enjoying the presence of more than one woman at a time.

The dance between the steady and giving Blood Females, focused witches, spicy Black Widows, tender Priestesses, and warm, compassionate Healers as well as the occasional Queen he's bedded, decades of therapy, and a greater delving in the knowledge within his the studies of his own very volatile Warlord Prince Caste have allowed Suleiman to embrace some sensual adaptation rather than entirely being trapped and wrapped in the typical hidebound and stubborn presence most men like him experience. Most Warlord Princes do not share well what so ever, but Suleiman is capable in a trusting, loving situation.

Even though not a single moment of it has been easy, especially being without his own Heartbonded Queen, and more akin to playing roulette with the lives of others with and against his own will. Having expected either not to find a Queen, or to end up losing her due to some cruel twist of political grasping forced the man to choose to either learn to be the better man particularly more than the well-born Hayllian shitheel he was descended from, or allow his life to spiral toward the eventual tragedy that the many stories told of Warlord Princes, and other poorly controlled men stem from. Suleiman, through considerable expended efforts, chose to be better, and more capable, rather than falling in the same cycles. Just because there's a possessive and wild rage in the heart of a Darkly Jewelled and deeply impassioned man doesn't always mean he needs to act upon it in a negative way toward other Blood, is how he sees his viewpoint of the world.

Though he is a Dark Jewelled Warlord Prince, which might typically be a startling concern regarding women that have not received their Offerings due to the risk of breaking their Jewels and shattering chalices, Suleiman is particularly emotionally sensitive and keenly aware during sex, which is a throwback to the formation of the first hints of his deeply compassionate personality blended with his volatile, possessive and violent Caste. The sensual and drug abuse he's seen cause considerable tragic death in his decades of very careful movement through Hayll has only heightened his desire to learn to take even greater care with himself, and others.

Here and there, he's served as an escort, and in lower court circles (by choice and request) at times where he wasn't unobtrusive enough in trade for safe passage given his litany of skills and curious appearance just outside the ability to pass as a fully blooded young Hayllian. While he could never expect to serve in any high court due to his 'flaws', Suleiman's skill sensually particularly being known for how careful and thorough he was made him a very popular figure for those women that didn't mind him being mixed blooded. The number of successful Virgin Nights he's respectfully eased a woman through are known to be high, but he's not one to kiss and tell about the privacy of any woman he's ever touched.

In Raihana's history of travelling through Dena Nehele on her way to Raej, she eventually told her son that she came across the Warlord Prince Trajan Cutrov Basarab-Muşatin at a party. Though the man was married, he saw Lady Raihana and simply had to convince her to stay for her wit and beauty. Being one of those very lucky men having said wife agree with the arrangement made it much lower stress than the situation could have been, not to mention lacking some awkwardness. Raihana refused initially, and her near departure triggered the Light Jewelled Warlord Prince's Rut.

As a Warlord Prince being told the story as a child, he loved it, and as a slightly older young-ish man, depending on how one spins the age business, the love story is something of a tender dream, which still makes his father's death burn brightly with painfully vivid, angry grief. Though darker Jewelled than Trajan and on her way to Raej to find what might have been left of her family there, Raihana fell hard in love with the Short-Lived Warlord Prince. In a quick burst alongside Trajan's wife's four children, Raihana had three children, the eldest of whom was Suleiman, with a pair of twin girls to follow. He's kept his eye even though at a distance on the descendants of his fully short-lived half-siblings, as most have lived their lives and then died of old age. Occasionally, he's learned to step in to lend a little aid where needed, and learned when not to.

Knitting, crocheting, sewing are all positive busy-handed tasks that have helped him manage some of those feelings after its all been partially tended to with a regular, carefully managed bit of violence on a given day. While his first efforts at age ten, fifteen, and even twenty-five were horrific, lumpy nightmares that might bring even a Hearth Witch (like the elder of his twin sisters' who was the one that taught him in the appreciation for everything to be in its special place as it soothes his possessive nature, while the touch of soft expensive fabrics is terribly sensual) to snarls, by this point he's more than gotten the basics and intermediates to a beautiful respectful finish, especially for a man so volatile. Flower arrangements are another blissfully tender task he's learned for the purpose of soothing the women in his life with all of the meanings of each flower so that the arrangements are correct, whether they were grandparent, sister, lover or still one day, even as his heart races at the thought of loss at once: a potential Queen.

Despite being typically more difficult for partially blooded Long-Lived people in Hayll in a decision to visit and learn more than he possibly could in Dena Nehele as he viewed it (snobbish for sure), his money was enough to talk Suleiman's way into visiting several Red Moon Houses and other places among the ones that didn't turn him away for his slightly darker hazel eyes and faintly curling midnight hair. It was during the six decades he spent in Hayll partying, learning, and trading throughout the Territory with those that would have him that his father passed away by way of a guild contract due to a little poorly enacted business on his father's end. Sullie's mother and sisters moved to Faro permanently, his sisters particularly vowing revenge on a certain Hayllian Prince, caring more about that than the man that chose to take less care with his life, whether or not he had raised them.

In his time there in Hayll despite the disadvantages, Suleiman did as best he could to make a full life of it. He met, and eventually married a beautiful partially Long-Lived Healer with a very similar family background as his own, Antonina Romulus, halfway through her very difficult pregnancy with his child. Both he and the lady were very hopeful despite some of the lack of ease they faced, much of which his wealth was able to ease away if not all of the surface problems of being treated like second class or even third or fourth class guest-citizens, while her skill at Healing tended to ease away most of the rest. Save for the occasional trip to Draega, they lived very quiet lives in Faro with his sisters and mother. Almost, with the exception of his need to kill that one unreachable person in his grandfather, life was fairly good.

It was during a heavy rainstorm that tragedy struck, sending a heavy downed tree branch through a glass window, causing his wife to take a terrible fall down one flight of stairs. Everything was done to try to save the mother and child, who had just two more weeks of her pregnancy by calculation before the accident ripped a particularly dark hole through Suleiman's life at a point where his fixation upon his grandfather had stupidly him away from home at the time.

When he departed, he expected to return in time to help his wife deliver the child as best as a man can expect to assist in such things. Instead, Suleiman was confronted with the sheer amount of terror poor labour can cause, and only the lack of her safety and hope that his wife would survive kept the un-Bonded Warlord Prince from near going unhinged. The infant, a little girl, did not survive; Suleiman held her long enough for her Queen Caste to rise from her tiny body, which only cemented his deep-seated ache and fear for a Bond, to which he could only be bitterly grateful that his own daughter had not been his Queen, for her brief beautiful appearance in the world. Naturally, he blames his grandfather for this tragedy, too, knowing this is only his rage talking, not that it is the right thing. While two decades have passed since what he might consider his lowest moment, the Sapphire Warlord Prince has learned a little more how easily loss can occur.

While Suleiman often feels a wave of boiling anger on a topic that to most full short lived would seem like a more than a lifetime ago, since then, he neither has felt the need to join his sisters and mother in their cold-served revenge nor at all thought to rebuke it, having done his very best to move on, despite how difficult that can be for a man like himself. After all, it wasn't as if justified murder was a crime. Having recently returned to Dena Nehele, Suleiman is seeking to do a little more than just be a well-dressed, perfectly cheekboned walking penis this time around, following an elusive presence of a Queenly scent that haunts his dreams and crossed the border from Hayll to Dene Nehele, which he's yet to decide is real or simply wishful thinking.

The last he knew, their kind hadn't at all been safe, but the news that things are changing has the terribly sharp-tempered and skeptical man more curious than he'd rather admit. Moreover, he has a few ambitions to be filled, and he knows just the Cutrov to see about them. The Decimation of Dena Nehele as he sees it was nothing short of a preventable massacre and is what has brought him back home permanently to help mourn, grieve, and dutifully attend.

Though the cynic in the man whispers otherwise, Suleiman is hoping that in its very slow recovery, that the Territory he's just started to cautiously appreciate once more doesn't slide back into the muck hole that caused quite so much death. News of the success around at least one province has declared slavery illegal in Dena Nehele has given Suleiman a feeling of grim satisfaction, though the declaration has come far too late.  In late August of 193 AP, following what's been dubbed both the 'witchwave' and 'Decimation' Sullie joined the Third Circle of the Territory Court of Dena Nehele on Dragos Cutrov's word that he's good to serve. The Territory Queen's pregnancy while previously kept a secret has now been visibly and openly pregnant for approximately one month, so far. That it's honestly continued without further attacks on her physically has widened that thread of hope. He's yet to figure out whether the people thrive off of the chaos that comes their way, or cause it, then thrive.

    Show Us What You've Got

Character in Play: Suleiman's eyes closed as he stood across the roulette table from the grandfather that didn't even know he existed. His full lips pulled upward while wagering marks against the house. Prince Julius Augustinus was deeply drunk and had called him every name the man could think of for a 'mongrel' blooded Hayllian, while not realizing the deep irony that he was insulting his own bloodline. He'd run into the man's sister, his apparent Great-Aunt earlier that day at the Commons' Library in Draega, and had been dragged to a party with a few less judgemental friends he'd made in the three decades' he'd lived so far in the often terribly dirty, but ancient city which housed more wonders than he could easily place a finger upon.

With a sharp pang, he missed Dena Nehele, even Bidea would have been better than this. His heart beat hard, as he wanted nothing more than to reach across the gaming table and physically tear Prince Julius' head from his body as slowly as he could while the man screamed for mercy. Mercy that he would never give. Mercy that he would never receive and had not earned. Mercy, that the man had not given his grandmother when he defiled her beauty and forced his mother into a kind of near slavery before she'd escaped to Dena Nehele.

Suleiman Costea, Sapphire Warlord Prince, needed to close his eyes before he did something stupid. So he bet enough on the wrong set to force Prince Julius to lose a fortune because it was perhaps the only revenge he could take at the moment. Midnight lashes brushed perfectly carved cheekbones, while behind his eyes Suleiman saw red and licked his lips, counting to two thousand while the wheel spun.

A small hand pressed to his back beneath his cream and silver pinstripe suit jacket, brushing the sapphire silk shirt beneath it. He shifted his feet upon the elegant three-inch block heels and brushed a lock of curling hair over one eye.

"Love? Are you all right? You haven't breathed in two minutes, Sullie," a different sort of hunger rose over the rage that had been in him for a lifetime which he had yet to sate. The turn of the Warlord Prince's head was sharp, as was his smile when he looked down at the woman that had been his date of choice, and the soon to be the mother of his child. Protectiveness immediately soothed through him. She wasn't yet showing at not quite four months, but her scent had changed from pure Healer to something more. Leaning down toward her shoulder, he pressed his lips almost tenderly across the hint of visible skin; she didn't uncover her body as much as some Hayllians, though if she had he'd admired, loved, and wanted her all the same, as it was Antonina's body, and her choice. The sudden burst of pride was enough to take the insults off his mind, as was the moment watching Prince Julius lose forty thousand marks. He'd take him for more before the night was done, but not too much more. The Warlord Prince and his lady had a bed to get back to, and he'd willingly spend the night or longer showing her how intelligent, striking clever, and beautiful she was, even though he was well aware the woman didn't need his opinion whatsoever.

"Don't you worry," he crooned, as her speaking was enough to pull his protective focus forth and quell the rage, while his gaze pinned a server in warning that passed just a little too close to Antonina. After all, revenge was a dish served best as cold as ice. No. He wouldn't allow the man that had a cruel hand in his existence to cause him to make such a mistake in public. Lean, seeking fingers moved to rub the woman's back, while Antonina sighed soothingly and leaned into him. "We can leave as soon as I take this one for all the marks in his pockets. You know I am all yours, woman." Suleiman felt her smile like a liquid explosive all down his spine. He'd need to hurry it along. Patience.

    Petitions (if any): None.
