The Nights of the Kindling Festival
« on: Sep 21, 15, 03:00:53 PM »

So my basic outline is a series of events for the Kindling Festival in order that all the Tacea people can come together and have a reasonable excuse for them to spend time with each other in a social and relaxed setting.

I figured it would be sensible and exciting to have a few threads/events to encourage some activity and just have fun!

As we appear to be gathering momentum & numbers in regards to the people in the Territory. I envision that it will last around two months, so from October to November - roughly! Which should give people plenty of time to join in and everything. I will start each Night's thread and then people are free to post before breaking into their own separate threads - if they want.

    What does everyone think?

Backstory

Quote
The Kindling Festival is a custom in Tacea to honor the spirits of one's ancestors or any that have since passed on to the Dark World.  It is four days long in the middle of Autumn and it is custom that one return to ancestral sites or temples to pay homage to their foremothers.  It is a surprisingly light hearted event, filled with carnivals, games, music, dancing, and festival foods.  On the fourth night, the festival is concluded with the floating of lanterns.  Paper lanterns are folded and illuminated by Craft, and then floated down rivers to represent the path of a lifespark.

I'd happily have Yuki personally involved for any Kagen, Ariake, and of course Natsuhana, celebrations.  Mostly, these are held within families and led by the family's Queen and the local Priestesses.

Yuki would be happy to lead any for the Territory Court and her bloodkin as well.

:>

As TQ, she can probably join in on any festivities across Tacea, as long as she has the time to spare, hahaha.  Perhaps one day with each of the major clans?

Ooooh, I hope my little Tacean BW speaks to me quickly so I can join in the festivities.

That works! It also makes for a lot more personalised and fun times ahead for everyone!
