Future Seminars & Writers' Resource Blog
« on: Dec 01, 11, 04:14:51 PM »
A year ago we hosted a writing seminar on conversation driven writing where we discussed methods that we use to drive that writing style. We are hosting another of those seminars coming up this Sunday. But it opened a flood gate on ideas of what we could host for future Seminars and if they would interest the board to hold them. My intent is to pick White's brain clean, as well as to share tricks and tips we all use for writing.

Please take a moment to vote in the poll. If you have suggestions that are not listed please reply to the thread with your suggestion. I've allowed the poll to be able to vote for all options if you so desire. I'm hoping to gague the level of interest of the board and figure out where to go from here with the Seminar series.

Additionally, there is a second poll that addresses the concept of a writers' resource blog to be hosted on BR. This is something that was brought up during the Membership Survey last year but we never followd up on. If we did this blog it would be open to the community to submit posts for it and would be a good way for us to pool thoughts outside of just seminar settings.

I clicked other on the resource blog, because I feel that we can apply the same to the Wiki with minimal work. :) And I would be interested in doing both (read and write).

I selected Image Editing but feel this would be best done as a screen share sort of thing. Does anyone have a good idea of how to do a screen share besides Skype?

Image one may be better done as a post or a blog entry, etc. But we can discuss feasibility of doing it live. I'll scour the internet to see if there is any screen sharing free software we can use.

Yes but if we wanted to host a live event where people could follow along to the instructor it is much more beneficial to do a screen share :)

Could whoever voted for (on Resource blog) "Yes, I'd love to write for it!" please reach out to me via email: jamie@bloodrites.net . I just want to gauge the interest level further by having a conversation. I promise not to bite!
