Retirement of Co-Plot Leader option
« on: Jul 23, 18, 03:58:52 PM »
Hello, writers!

For some time now, HBC has allowed players who petition to be Plot Lead for an available Territory to take on a co-lead. This allowance for two Plot Leads for a single Territory was intended as a way to share the burden of leadership and facilitate more responsive, agile play within a Territory. While it's a great idea on paper, it has been our experience in practice that dual-lead Territories do not benefit from having a second lead, as we'd hoped. On the contrary, unique new issues tend to arise in dual-lead Territories that aren't a factor in traditional Territories with a single Plot Lead.

As a result, HBC has made the decision to no longer allow multiple Plot Leads for a single Territory. Plot Leads may still plot with whomever they like, naturally, but there will ultimately be one player responsible for the Territory. Plot Leads will continue to appoint a Plot Proxy, who should be able to answer simple plot questions in the Plot Lead's absence. Plot Leads may also continue to designate specific players to be the point of contact for certain subplots if they wish. The only change will be that there will be just one formal Plot Lead with one Plot Lead character for each Territory.

As usual, if you have concerns or questions, we invite you to reach out to HBC via email at staff@bloodrites.net.

Cheers,

phinn, on behalf of HBC
