Dhemlan has become a land divided. The corruption that Witch’s Purge wiped out in the rest of the Realms was preserved by the well-meaning sacrifice of the territory’s Ebon Gray Queen. everything you want, everything you need

Things were proceeding very, very well. After the shuffle of crowns, the half-breed's dealings and Taxet's own maneuvers it would only be a matter of time before he could accelerate his plans. The Queen's Ball was planned and he knew Ravena would make a grand entrance. With the event coming soon, he knew Naraii would likely be in attendance given her place in Teoda's Third Circle. Naraii had a habit of sticking her gorgeous head into places it didn't belong sometimes, and she loved to play the hero. He would have to keep her indisposed somehow, but he also didn't want to have to redo all of the careful work that he'd done these last few years.

It was about time to proceed with another plan anyway, and it felt cyclical to bring her here again in his estate. Everything had been clean and perfumed, cleansed of lingering psychic scents that did not belong to either him or Gharad, his faithful servant.

The letter was spelled slightly, subtle seduction webs laced in the words that had been locked to become visible only to hers eyes. Enough to stir fond memories and the heat of hunger.

Quote from: A spelled letter
Naraii,

I have something very, very special for you. Please come with all haste and cancel any appointments you may have for the next few days.

It'll be worth it.

-Yours
.

As she arrived at Taxet's manor she would find Gharad, as always, the dutiful servant awaiting her at the door. He offered to take coat and weapon if she'd brought either given the ebbing approach of winter. Taxet's home was right on the high cliff that overlooked the sea, so the chill was more likely to affect the streets approaching his home rather than the rest of the Territory. His own home was warm and inviting, holding a soft scent of maple and smoke tonight.

"The Master would like you to meet him in the study." Gharad said gently. "I can bring a beverage for you if you would like."

She knew the way, of course. She knew her way through every room in his expansive home except for the lower laboratories that she knew was spelled and protected, if only because she'd nearly killed herself fleeing to them during one of their games. The halls and rooms were dark save for soft flickering witchlights. The doors to the huge study slid open to the crackle of a fire, the smell of cigars and brandy and laughter.

"Oh! At last!" Taxet turned with a bright smile from behind the bar, gesturing to her with a hand that held both snaketooth and smoldering cigar. "I had thought you were going to keep me waiting all evening." The Black Widow Prince was dressed in a flowing, loose white shirt, his hair loose and unadorned.

"Well, you know Naraii." The other voice came by the fireplace, one well known to her as it rose from it's seat and cast her with a sly smirk. "She likes to make an entrance."

"Tell me honest." Tiberius tilted his head, a single dark eyebrow rising over blazing golden eyes. "You came here to see me, didn't you."

Passionate a woman as she was, it was nonetheless unlike Naraii to get giddy over the affections of others. Between the finely-scripted promise that the unusually demanding request would "be worth it" and the oddly intimate signature, though, Naraii found herself biting her lip in a failed attempt to restrain a broad smile while she read the card. Twice, then three times she read it, allowing the anticipation it inspired to bubble through her like a warm brew. If he hadn't asked for days of her time, she could've left immediately. As much as she'd tried to avoid any real responsibilities at court, though, she'd managed to be shackled with a few that required a bit of rescheduling.

But as soon as that was done, she made her way to Taxet's estate with all haste. She wore no weapon on her hip; she knew of no enemy within that familiar home that ought to cause her to summon her father's loyal sword from her cabinet. Neither did she wear a coat despite the chilled air high on the cliff. She enjoyed the crispness of it, and did not plan to be out in it for long. In any case the blazershe wore over her fitted shirt and her breeches was heavy enough to ward off most of the chill, but wasn't enough to keep her cheeks from being slightly pinked by the time she greeted Gharad with a merry smile. She declined his offer of a drink but thanked him, knowing the place well enough by now to recall that the study had its own bar in the event that she changed her mind.

She made her way to the study, and en route she only mostly managed to scale back the smile on her face to something respectable. She turned to Taxet immediately upon entering, not expecting to find anyone else present. It wasn't until he'd finished his words, in that half-second before someone else spoke, that Naraii realized she'd misjudged. It was such an odd moment, to realize that she'd entirely overlooked another presence in the room, but before she had time to ponder that strangeness, she was confronted with the one person she'd least expected to see there.

"Octavian!" she gasped, before a grin crested bright and full over her mouth once more.

And then... a pause. A strange, inexplicable pause wherein she thought she ought to not be so excited at this revelation. A headache unfolded, a dull ache in the back of her head, but she paid it no mind and darted across the room to throw her arms around the errant pirate.

"You're back!" she chirped, as she loosened her embrace to lean back and look at him, beaming.

Tiberius Octavian

"For the time being." Tiberius replied with a slow smile as he cradled Naraii's back after she leapt into his arms. the Ebon Gray Warlord Prince clasped his hands tightly against her back and lifted her up off of her feet, he slowly lowered her after the hug had been shared and allowed her some space. He had floated the glass that was in his hand even as she was in mid-air, the mastery of the artform effortless for the seasoned pirate. "I don't plan on staying very long. I only came by to talk to Taxet, and see a friend or two while I was here." He nodded to the Red Jeweled Black Widow Prince who was now crossing the room between them, two glasses of spelled rum in hand. Naraii knew the scent quite well by now, as it had been Taxet's favorite and used only for special occasions. Potent stuff, but the dual Casted male was positively beaming in enjoyment.

"He asked me to keep it secret, so I apologize for not giving you warning. But I figured you'd forgive me the sleight." Taxet smiled as he slid the glass into Naraii's hand while Tiberius drew his hands away from her. Taxet motioned to the plush couch and moved to take up the loveseat in the room, wanting Naraii to join Tiberius at his side. The pirate sat, making room for Naraii as he floated his own glass back to her.

"Taxet tells me you're tracking down slavers or something these days. Oh, and fucking him in my absence, he loves to crow about that. But I understand." Tib shot a sidelong glance toward Taxet, a grin nearly splitting his face. "You had to make do with me not being around."

Tib returned his gaze to Naraii, his eyes twinkling in amusement, but there was a touch of heat in his gaze. Taxet seemed amused, not really bothered by the jab that the Darker Jeweled man offered, or he merely knew to watch his step around a Warlord Prince's "claim". "So then.." The Warlord Prince shifted his torso to be facing her more directly, pulling a leg up to cross over the other, the leather of his pants creaking as he did so. "Let's hear about your adventures, hrm? You can leave out the boring court nonsense."

"You aren't?" Naraii replied, obviously disappointed by the news that Octavian wasn't staying. It was more than the idle disappointment of a missed friend, though Naraii did a decent job for the moment of making that less clear. Octavian didn't want her expectations or her sense of duty foisted on him, she knew that much without even asking. Still, the whole thing managed to sour her elation just the slightest bit.

Nothing that wasn't set aside easily enough when Taxet appeared at her elbow with a drink for for her. She looked up at him when she accepted the glass, and when he suggested she might forgive him for keeping the secret, she smiled once more. "Of course," she told him, lifting the drink in a mock toast before looking back to Octavian. "When one is dealing with scoundrels one expects a certain amount of duplicity," she teased. She sank down sideways on the couch facing tip, one leg folded beneath herself.

"Excuse me," she objected, her voice rising a notch in playful indignation. "Are you suggesting I'm a poor man's Octavian?" But of course he was, because that was simply his way. It didn't bother her truly, nor did the fact that Taxet had apparently been bragging about their escapades. She was busy instead giving thought to the idea of Taxet and Octavian being lovers, something she'd never considered before. She had to wonder how that worked, as they were both extremely... ah... demanding men to be with.

Octavian looked to her and asked about her "adventures", and Naraii's jaw dropped open as though he'd insulted her.

"Are you serious? You disappear off of the face of world for TWO YEARS and you show up again and expect me to catch you up like you stepped out to the market? It's ALL boring court nonsense, because SOMEONE LEFT ME BEHIND," she chided him, refraining from giving his shoulder the petulant shove she might've given a less volatile man. "Where in the name of Night have you been? You'd JUST got home again.. what could've possible taken you away again so soon?"

Tiberius Octavian

"Afraid not. I don't even think I'll be able to get the Skyjammer and her crew together. From what Taxet tells me she's not repaired yet, and half the crew has spread to the winds. Which is just as well; when I need them again I know where to find them." Tiberius reclined in his seat, cradling his glass. He lifted his own in toast to her as she suggested that he was, in fact, the scoundrel. Whenever she deigned to drink from the glass she'd find it spicier than normal, warmer and somewhat more alluring. It certainly tasted more potent but had a touch of sweetness to it that stopped it from being something too rough to bear but instead sipped and enjoyed.

Taxet had laced the beverage with a potent web of seduction craft, meant to heighten the arousal of those drinking of it. It wouldn't take full effect in a single sip, but as more was imbibed inhibitions would loosen as would resistance.

There were times for overt measures and subtle ones. And to Taxet Montecristo, this was subtle.

"Well, you are." Tib replied with a grin toward Naraii's twisting question. He didn't explain further than that, but Taxet hid a laugh behind a cough and a closed fist that covered his face, imitating that the liquor was sharper than he'd expected. "Though to your credit, you have nicer hips than me."

The snake that he was kept smiling, terribly amused with himself as Taxet settled into something more silent to watch them. The Black Widow Prince was seemingly content to sit on the sideline and observe the interaction of the two within his parlor.

Tib, on the other hand, shrugged gently at Naraii's indignation. "The matter was in hand. You wanted to save your brother and your father's honor and etcetera etecetera etceteraaahhhborrrring. I had no desire to rule here, Naraii, nor a desire to serve. I've always been my own master, thank you. I set matters aright here and I had to see to my own personal business, such as settling a score with Mitra -- which was not handled, yet, and following some rumors of a son of mine through the Dark Gate."

He sipped his glass, inhaled slowly with a sigh of soft bliss, and turned his gaze back to Naraii.

"As it so happens, no Mitra, but there is a son in Hayll. Funny fact, that. As for the whole matter of being back.. two years is not as very long as you think, and it was never about living here, Naraii, it was that Mitra told me I couldn't. After everything I'd done for the Territory, and for her, well, it was the principle, really.

Besides... I had every intention to put my Cuz out of her misery, and I doubt mercy killing is to your tastes."
Tib lifted a hand to forestall any argument from Naraii, sensing it was coming. "Don't worry, I had a change of heart halfway through, decided she'd already lost her Jewels and her family, no need for anything further."

He held the glass for a moment, swirling it, ruminating in thought. The old grudge, the wound that had never healed, caused him to look into his glass and consider its contents. His voice, for just a moment, softened. "Still. I would have liked to have talked one last time, to settle the account between us. To tell her I'd appreciated that she'd saved Dahlia and Martel."

Tib paused, his mood palpably dark. He imbibed a great deal more of the glass, then floated it over to Taxet, who took it up in hand and moved to pour another one. Tib shifted his eyes over to Naraii, then, a dark eyebrow raised. "I came here and saved the Territory, Naraii. What more was I supposed to do?"

Naraii sat there and drank rum that was far more spelled than she could've guessed and listened as Octavian spelled out all the reasons he'd had to vanish without a word. Except none of them were actually reasons for him to have left so abruptly, and that sat poorly with her. She didn't actually object to the notion of Tib killing Mitra, though whether that was because she supported the idea or just didn't think her opinion would matter on the topic would've been hard to say. Her mood darkened in tandem with his, though not to the same degree, of course. No one could match the moodiness of an Ebon Gray Warlord Prince, not even the spirited witch at his side.

"I dunno. Stick around for more than an hour, maybe?" she countered, arching a brow right back at him atop a tone that was dry with sass. She watched Taxet as the Black Widow Prince rose to refill Octavian's drink, and shook her head some, frowning.

"Everyone knows you and your friends were the reason Teoda was able to take the throne, and they all know you've been gone. It's only a matter of time before one of the attempts on her life succeeds, and we'll be right back where we were before. Even if you don't do anything for the courts while you're here, the fact that you're around would be a warning against those who'd act out."

She looked back over to Tib then, pursed her lips and studied his profile for a beat.

"You just vanished, Tib. Your own master, yes, but couldn't you have spared a day to tell anyone you were leaving?" She looked back to her drink, shook her head again before taking a sip. "You were supposed to give a damn, that's all," she finished, more quietly. But she didn't pause there overlong. Her eyes washed over Taxet on the opposing couch, and she moved on to a lighter tone.

"Though I don't blame you for coming to Taxet over me," she said, a smile for the Black Widow Prince carving its way deeply across her lips. "He does have the better vintage."

Tiberius Octavian

Taxet returned after a moment, handing the glass to Tib, who offered a nod to their host and then regarded Naraii fully with his gaze. "I believe I was around for a good few days, thank you." He replied as if the difference was all of the world. "Long enough to make sure Teoda was Queen and see my own daughter stripped off all assets, titles, and future for the time being, thank you." Tib's mood darkened even further, and what lightness had been between them was fading.

"She helped them, Naraii." He said the words slowly, chewing on them like they were glass shards in the mouth, his jaw rigid in anger and pain. "Just like her mother. My own daughter." And there, there was a frost that covered the glass for just a moment.

Taxet's hand covered Tib's, and the cold that was starting to seep into the room ebbed away. Taxet looked gently down to the Warlord Prince and nodded to the glass. Something unspoken passed between the two men, a solidarity that was almost palpable, and Tib exhaled slowly and drank.

"Before the Purge, Tiberius's wife had been in his mind." Taxet said gently, hovering near the Warlord Prince still. Taxet now stood near both of them, the anchor to their two points. "Had made him doubt his own sanity for a while. She had made him fall in love with her, when those feelings had never been present. He'd begun to suspect and came to me for help." Taxet turned to Tib and gently laid a hand upon his head, a thumb stroking the dark hair upon his scalp. Tib seemed mollified for a moment. No less a broody Warlord Prince, but a window into the relationship of the two men before her was made more clear.

"It's not something that's public knowledge. Not something we talk about." Taxet said slowly, turning his gaze to Naraii then, the weight of his stare fully on her.

Tib drank slowly from the glass, his mood still dark as his eyes looked distantly, rather than at her.

"Now you know why I needed to put as much space between Dhemlan and I as possible."

His eyes turned back to Naraii, his gaze focused on her in full. "I didn't come back to rule Dhemlan or to help Teoda gain the throne. I came back to save my family.

I was too late.

So I had no reason to stay."

Taxet winced, just slightly, though unseen by the Warlord Prince. He reached out to Naraii, feather light on a psychic thread. ~This is not an easy subject for him. He is extending a great deal of trust to you just telling you about it.

You mean a lot to him, Naraii.

You know how insufferable his pride can be.~

A good few days, he said, as though that would mean anything for the larger picture. He'd hung around long enough to have a romp with her, and apparently a few days more to romp with whomever else he'd missed before disappearing without a word. Naraii was frustrated by his callousness, and annoyed by the dull ache that was now fully awake in her head. She nearly said something less-than-kind, but Octavian's further comment on Dahlia's choices quieted her. She watched the subject slip under his skin, all jagged and sharp edges tearing through flesh that was so often so close to impervious.

The interaction between Taxet and Octavian was utterly fascinating. Naraii had never imagined a world where Octavian would accept a touch that came so close to fatherly, or where he'd allow someone else to speak for him on matters of such personal tenderness. Was it possible that Prince Montecristo had somehow tamed Tiberius Octavian? It reminded her much of an exhibition she'd seen in Pamplona once, where a torrero-turned-entertainer had charmed a bull right in the middle of the ring, so much so that he could pat the beast's head gently without finding himself gored. Naraii watched that hand atop Octavian's head, and the way that thumb stroked through the dark hair there. Knowing what both that stroke and that hair felt like, she nearly found herself distracted by the quiet desire to feel one or both again.

But only nearly. She downed another swallow of her drink to give herself something to focus on, and listened as Taxet explained the sins of Tib's former wife. As unexpected as it all was, it did explain part of why Octavian was so prickly about his freedom, and not tying himself down, she thought. She considered what it must have been like for a man like him to slowly realize such an intimate betrayal, and then to see his daughter grow up to be the same woman her mother had been.

I came back to save my family. I was too late.

If nothing else he'd said had broken through Naraii's anger, then his final comment would have, anyway. Few things struck the same resonant chord in Naraii as the love of one's family, and the great lengths one might go to in order to protect them. She held the Warlord Prince's gaze even while Taxet spoke to her on a thread, and had to resist the urge to slide herself closer to Tib on the couch and try to soothe him with more physical efforts. Sitting there between a Black Widow and Warlord Prince, though, both of whom she'd taken as lovers, she didn't dare touch that line at the moment. She wanted to, to a degree that was shamefully sharp considering the delicacy of the current conversation. But even if it wouldn't have been an inconsiderate response to the topic, the sheer amount of temper and volatility in the room would've made it unwise.

"I didn't understand," she admitted quietly, lowering her eyes to her drink in a gesture that wasn't entirely thoughtless. She glanced up at Taxet, and then across the room. "Don't think too little of me for having been cross. You did show me what adventure was really like and then leave me in a court full of courtiers," she said, looking back to Tiberius finally with a trace of a smirk reasserting itself on her lips. "A dirty trick, you have to admit," she said, though there was more humor than accusation behind the words, now.

Tiberius Octavian

"Well, admittedly, it's hard to come back down to earth after living in the clouds." Naraii's comment managed to bring a smirk back to his features after the morose feeling that had settled into the room. "But the invitation's free for you to come fly with me again." The pirate captain extended his arm, his fingers spread out like a net to catch her, facing toward the sky as his palm served as the base for her to land upon. The Warlord Prince's golden eyes sparkled in mischief. "There's always another adventure, if you're willing to go look."

The Black Widow Prince placed a hand gently on her shoulder as he stood between them both now, his touch was warmth and comfort and he looked down at her with a knowing smile. "You do like to be daring."

Taxet then withdrew his hands from them both, Tib and Naraii's glasses suddenly pulled free from their hands with a jerk of Red power. Filling his empty hands with their glasses he moved leisurely back toward the loveseat, settling down in it as he reclined in his seats.

"I think you owe her one, Tiberius." Taxet said with a teasing tone as he reclined in his seat, an eyebrow lifted almost as if in expectation as he turned to look directly at the Warlord Prince. "The least you can do is help her work out that anger."

Tiberius closed his eyes slowly, a growl bubbled up from his chest -- something deep and primal snarled out, something instinctual and territorial.

"You have my permission." Taxet said slowly, his words soft and pointed.

The Ebon Gray Warlord Prince opened his eyes and when they were reawakened they settled onto Naraii with a fixated, singular focus that would be terrifying to someone who had seen what Tiberius were capable of. Tiberius surged forward to fill the place between them with his own body. Certain and powerful hands fell to her thigh and reached for her cheek, drawing them both toward him in a sudden frenzied need to hold her and kiss her. His mouth covered hers and claimed it, drawing her leg around his as he pulled her against him. Another growl came, deeper and filled the room as it swam down her throat with the heat of his kiss and his lust.

Taxet slowly set one glass down on the end table beside him, lifted the other slowly to his mouth, and watched them both as the fire flickered and sent long shadows across his face.

"Easy enough to say," she laughed, at Tib's invitation, the merriness returning to her eyes and smile. "Now that I'm properly embroiled in projects and appointments. You've seen to it that I've a solid case of the responsibilities, Octavian."

Taxet countered with a comment on the nature that lived in the witch despite her comments to the contrary. She looked up at him, a mischief not unlike Tib's in her eyes while she tipped back a bit more rum. She'd no sooner swallowed it than he'd whisked the glass away in a hurry. He sat with her empty glass, and with Tib's, and Naraii watched him with a curious, befuddled expression on her face. Of course, then he spoke. Naraii looked from Taxet to Tiberius, lips parting slowly as confusion was replaced with a dawning understanding on her face. Concern flickered through her mind, and when her eyes snapped back to Taxet there was uncertainty evident in them. Surely he wasn't suggesting---but he was!

You have my permission, he said, and Naraii felt her heart freeze over in her chest as Octavian leveled his eyes at her. She'd been tossed around by that bottomless well of power that lived within him, had tasted the wine of his wrath and had been frightened more soundly by it than she'd ever been elsewhere. And while it wasn't quite wrath that filled the eyes that loomed near her now, it very soon would be if he meant to try and bed her in Taxet's very house! Even with the both of them supposedly willing to share (?! - the very pretense was something she'd have to unpack later!), she had no faith that tempers would remain restrained once passions began to rise. Taxet Montecristo was every bit the Black Widow his snaketooth suggested, and no one who'd ever met Tiberius Octavian could question the Warlord Prince in him. How could either of them think this could--

And then Tiberius was upon her, frenzied and implacable, and for a moment his kiss and the possessive claim of his hands was enough to quiet her fears. She'd missed this, missed him, despite how slow she'd be to admit as much. Two years gone, and yet his kiss and the demanding way he touched her was still familiar, still a siren's song luring her happily towards danger.

You have my permission, Taxet had said. The men were much closer than Naraii had realized. Was it possible they were friends enough that their inherent natures did not compete? Was that a thing that could even happen, with two such men? Her fear was no match for her libido, which took off into a multitude of imaginings involving the ability of these two men to share. She was warmed all the way through in ways that had little to do with Taxet's rum (as far as she knew, at least), and she returned Octavian's kiss with fervor until her lungs seemed on the verge of bursting.

She tilted her head back, breaking the kiss and allowing him access to her neck, and she slid her eyes to the side to take in the voyeur on the opposite couch.

*Taxet...*

She reached out to him, not with any forceful intent, but to... well... to ask his permission, in a sense. To check his temper, to see if he really intended to have this happen here tonight. To try and see if he intended to let her be torn apart between two volatile people. Her body responded happily and fervently to the Warlord Prince currently pulling at her, but she paused there against that tempest and looked for some sign from the spider.

Tiberius's hands slid with purpose and forceful direction. The first found her jaw and the other moved up rounded hip to dip beneath the confines of her blazer. They curled around ribs and the soft skin that rested above the bone, hidden from him by only cloth. Cloth that he could easily shred from her body had he a mind for it. Instead those fingers that had explored the whole of her slid along the edges of bone and the lines of muscle, made inventory of the curve of her torso and then gripped her back to pull her into the kiss. It was a heady spirit of its own, and when it ended the Warlord Prince shifted his mouth to graze along her neck. The soft hairs of his Traitor's Beard ran against her skin and the space between her throat and shoulder that he could bury his mouth against. She felt his nose take in a deep breath of her scent, to swim in it, and then his teeth gently grazed across that plane of mocha skin that made him hum in hunger.

*I see you.* Taxet's voice flowed like honey into her mind, sweet and syrupy, and she saw his eyes blazing in interest.

*I want to see how your hunger manifest for another man. I want to see how his lust turns unto another. I want to watch, for now, and watch how you are taken, and how he takes.

You have my permission.

I want to see if he can satisfy you, or if only my touch can complete you.*

Taxet slipped back the glass and sipped of Tib's drink. He ran is tongue gently across the lip that he'd been using, as if to taste the residue of his mouth, and then the spider seemed to recline as the fire grew warmer and the room seemed to become darker and more intimate.

But Tiberius's hands and his mouth were no less insistent, seeming to grow hungrier by the moment. "Don't let it go to your head... Naraii..." His voice was threaded with arrogance and laughter as his teeth slid up to her ear. "But I've missed you, too." The hand on her back slid down to grip her ass, his fingers digging into the taut flesh to pull her hips up against his own. He bit gently on her ear and sucked on it then, tilting her head so that she could see Taxet clearly while she felt the pressure of his mouth on that soft lobe of skin.

Naraii's eyes slipped closed and a stilted sigh escaped her lips, and though it fit perfectly as a pleased response to the Warlord Prince whose teeth grazed along her throat, Taxet might recognize it as a breath of relief that he had the situation in hand. The witch's mind was distracted enough, fractured enough in the moment, that she didn't think too far ahead to wonder how, exactly, he could have it in hand. She trusted that he did, somehow. She wanted to be able to trust that, so that she wouldn't have to try and distract Octavian away from the affections that were even now making it hard for her to worry about anything at all. Octavian's hands slipped beneath her jacket and molded against her skin, and while it was true that he could tear away blazer and shirt with little effort at all, it was the thought of her flesh ripping with equal ease that made the edges of the moment burn with a quiet fear.

Not unpleasantly so, mind you. Naraii enjoyed a bit of insanity with her escapades, a fool's ration of danger with her pleasure. The latent volatility and power behind the pretty, charming facade of the Warlord Prince was more arousing to her than the face pressed against her neck or the hands that inventoried her form - though the latter ran a close second at this point. It was an odd thing to feel a man's beard against that tender flesh, and whether she grinned suddenly because of that odd, tickling graze or because of what Taxet said, not even Naraii was sure.

*I will never doubt your definition of special again.*

Octavian nipped at her ear and Naraii drew in a hissing breath between her teeth, though she laughed quietly at his words just after. She let her voice carry softly with her next exhale, let her body arch into him while he gripped her more tightly. Her eyes opened again and she watched Taxet's intent perusal of his guests, felt the blazing focus of those golden eyes. When she closed her eyes again and purred against Octavian, it was as much in response to the thought of Taxet watching them as it was to the Warlord Prince's affections. She had not ever thought to dream up a situation such as this, not with these two men, and not here, not like this.

"Such generous words..." she teased Octavian, grinning once more. "But I've always preferred you as a man of action, Octavian." Her limbs strengthened then, and she pulled herself more flush against him, gripped him more tightly with both hands and body. She turned her head in towards his, shoving his cheek determinedly with her own so that she could get to his ear. She nipped it, sucked on the lobe of it quickly before speaking with it still pinched hard between her teeth, her voice hungry and near to growling.

"Prove it."
