Craft Descriptions Submission Event
« on: Dec 23, 16, 09:58:38 AM »
Special Event
To encourage player submissions of Craft descriptions to fill out our handy new Crafts & Craft Specialties page, HBC has decided to award WRITING POINTS for all entries submitted before Winter of Writers ends in February. The point award for these special entries will be DOUBLE the standard rate. In addition, the writing you do for this event will count towards your Snowfall Challenge totals for the month.

To Participate:
Go HERE and reply to the Craft Specialties thread with your own post. Select one of the types of Craft whose description hasn't yet been filled out (or is filled out with ipsum) and write a brief description of the Craft's standard use and how a specialization in that form of Craft might look. Use the following form:

Code: [Select]
Category:
Craft Name:
Standard Description:
Specialty:

A few things to keep in mind:
  • Try to keep the Standard description and the Specialty description down to 75-100 words apiece.

  • Your entries may or may not be used; they may be edited before use or posted in their original form.

  • Excessively long entries may be rejected entirely.

  • New kinds of Craft are encouraged, so long as you can trace a path from existing Craft to the new application for it. IE, no Teleportation Craft because there's not an existing Craft type that deals with instantaneously reassigning a physical object's location.

  • Bear in mind that a Specialty should be an extension of the Standard Craft, not an entirely different application.
